Round 17 - Eels vs Broncos - Post Match Discussion

I lost count of the number of times that the commentators mentioned the fact that Parra were playing without Hayne but FORGOT to mention the players the Broncos had out. they didn't metion it occasionally but no where near as often as the mentioned that over-rated pansy being out

That win was like gold with the bye next week. Brilliant defensive effort - both of their tries were from dubious passes so they don't count.

We are set up beautifully for the back end of the season. Now to do a number on the Titans...

stoked for the win. lot of good stuff from young guys and macca was good. kenny is insanely crap. norman did well defensively too i thought

still would like our attack get a bit deeper. so flat all the time.

Yeah I have been critical of both Anderson and Kenny lately Anderson went well last night but Kenny was awful again.

awesome effort from a "just over 20s" 1st grade side, much needed 2pts making it a 4pt week

Gillett was the man, Reed will comeback better..

At full strength you would assume Kenny will drop off.

Anyone else think Norman runs with the ball too much?

I like it, once he finds a rhythm with it he and knows the right moment to pass we will be sweet.

So true. The only real flaw in what is shaping up to be a truly great side. When that happens, given the same excellent defence, I can't see the team being beaten.

Eels were leaking metres all game, especially poor marker defence. We could have won a lot more comfortably. Glad to be 4 points from the last two origin weeks, but it could have been the other way very easily.

Good win, but the Eels are so shit this year. They are Dad's army big time - their recruitment policy is: "Ok so we've got fullback sorted, let's buy anyone who has played first grade in the last 10 years."

PHEW! YEAH!

Also anyone else reckons that the Eels were lucky to get those 2 tries, cos through my Broncos-Coloured glasses it looked like forward passes all the way.

Yeah, they were forward passes. But meh, it happens every week, and there's a few Broncos tries this year from forward passes that went undetected. What goes around.

I'm not complaining, just pointing it out. The game wasn't as close as it looked.

LOVE LOVE LOVE watching all those ex-Broncos failing at that useless club. [icon_evillaugh Especially McGuire whom I hated when he was with us and hate him now.

And Carl Webb. And Chris Walker. _woohoo_ [icon_evillaugh

Hehehe, yes. I tweeted to Chris Walker "Got shown up by a Gagai? How does that feel?" [icon_lol1.
