Round 17 - Storm vs. Broncos - Pre Match Discussion

Yeah, knock on passes to Wallace and he strolls over because they were waiting for the call, it was so obvious.

We were the on top of them all game and giving them a bath down Isa & Quinn's corner. One call when there was still plenty of time left on the clock is a pretty narrow minded view of the game.

Extremely narrow minded. From memory they had 4 or 5 sets on our line towards the end of the game without success. That cost them the game more than one dodgy call.

I reckon that night was damn close to Wallace's best ever game for the Broncos. Long time ago I know!

Ironically, I think tomorrow night the Storm will show more desperation, even though they're finals bound, than we will who are fighting to save our season. They will want a win to stay in touch with the top 2. Bellamy is a smart coach. I suspect he knows the premiers will come from either 1 or 2.

We have seldom played the cheats at full strength though. The last time I remember us doing so was a game that is not to be spoken about ever again...

Yeah but technically it was our UP full strength vs their overproof. In fact, while ever they have the Big 3 they'll never be a fair team in my eyes.

Parker on The Game Plan NOW.

Not sure what it's supposed to mean anyway. It's all up to the dummy half - pass left for Wallace, pass right for Prince.

Isn't it also just as much pass to the running forward on either side, one or two out.

Isn't also all about a sense of urgency, of bodies in motion rather than our staid, slow game plan. At least week, we finally decided to acknowledge that forward momentum in attack and defence is the single most important element of winning.

corey norman posting a pic of his hotel room on instagram captioned 'get me home' just sorta says it all about some of his efforts this year.

i get that hotels suck at times and maybe the comment means jack all but ffs youre there as a bronco you've spent all week with your team mates, shouldnt u be pumped about a big game tomorrow night? ........

Quick stat on the eve of game night..

We have only beaten Melbourne in Melbourne once in the last decade.

Broncos by 4 or the Storm by 12+. If they give what they gave last week with a bit more then we could scrape a win and possibly give them confidence to salvage this season. I am expecting the broncos to come out firing for 20 minutes, score 18 points before half time leading by 6. Then hook gives his speech blablabla defence blablabla one out runs blablabla we win. Concede 24 points in the 2nd half and then show some magic to score the last try.

I am tempted by Broncos 10.5 points start @ $1.85
Tonights forecast rain, hail and cold

If we build on last week's performance and do not revert to the one out crap and slow defensive line speed, I can't see how, if we lose, it would be by more than 2

I think we will win by 6

This is probably the least I've looked forward to a game in long while... well since our previous match ha!

I miss the buzz of being excited about watching the Broncs... you know, waking up in the morning knowing the Broncs were playing that night and being excited all day, yelling at the TV, fist pumping, etc during the match. I miss that feeling so much.

I've said it before, watching the match each week has become a chore. My expectations are at rock bottom and we're possibly the least exciting team in the comp. Sigh.

Don't get me wrong, I'll always watch the matches, support the team no matter where we are on the ladder and so on, but geez, it's not real enjoyable at the moment. I can already see in my head what tonight's performance will be like. Hopefully the team surprises me.

Just WIN, don't think its asking too much.

Yeah, I'm totally with you on that one. I don't look forward to Broncos games at this stage, I will watch them regardless but I don't get the same buzz that I used to. I'm sure that'll turn around when we're performing better but people are right, it's when the teams performing shit that you see the proper fans of a club.
