Love to see Jensen back too just as long as it's at James's expense 😀

Like I said calf muscle injuries usually take a month to 6 weeks to heal .
Then no guarantee it wont recur .

The forward`s leader didn`t get a starting jersey though ? Ouch !

You've lost the plot, thought you were better than that.

Sure, you can say he wasn't ready and that's your take but you then say that and use the fact he got knocked out as a means to further your view, that's ridiculous and distasteful.
LOL, don't know where you've been hiding but expecting better from him is going to lead to a lot of disappointment

I love all of these posts you do. Could you do one to compare what Walsh would do here?
You give me too much credit....i simply share some of the best Rugby leage content out there thanx to Rugby League Writers..

Legit request though, what exactly "are" the Warriors highlights this year that involve Walsh?

Gotta admit, not a lot out there...

The kid glides across the field, happy to dig into the defence and take contact..

He can count numbers in defence and can time when to inject himself in a sweep play..

In terms of defence, he will put his body on the line 1 on 1...

but like Niu, there a defensive lapses and no-shows in cover defence too...

So, hes not the finished product, but the timing and hands when running flat out is what seperates him from Tesi. Ive not seen too much of Walsh lurking around the ruck like Tesi, he seems to be more interested in exploring gaps out wide of a retreating defence...

He had one okay game. One abominable game. And one where he didn't even last 2 minutes. Yeah sure, congrats. He wasn't ready for Origin. It's not an insult.

What a load of cod`s wallop .
That is some Donald Trump level spin there bro .

That defensive work is horrific. Could justify being dropped for that alone. How is he still so bad at following the play? He’s young so I’ll give him a pass for lining up on the wrong side of the ruck but to put no effort into following the ball is unforgivable.

Any top 8 fullback would’ve been there to attempt to help with that tackle - many may have failed to stop the try but to be dawdling over as a fullback is a sackable offence

Cardio .
He missed pre season . Then another cpl of months with very limited running .

He may be thinking - gotta get there but his body says no ?

How many of your top 8 Fbs have had that amount of time not running ?

It should be better but he can be rattled easily as well, if his kicking game overwhelms Niu I think thats sticks for him tbh.

Dragons didn't threaten him at all and it's been his biggest issue in the past, having a fullback that can handle it is almost as important as everything else and we get that with Martin, we have seen how much it improves our team.

If he has a dud game I would give Cobbo a crack till Martin is back.
TMM has dropped bombs too .
Folks round here have short memories .

Probably a fair point to an extent but I would give it more weight had this not been an ongoing issue for him at fullback for as long as I’ve known about him. Even when played fullback consistently between q cup and first grade.

Get the feeling hethrington is up for a big one. Absolutely astounds me he wasn't even discussed in regards to an origin smokey this year. Even "clarkey" didn't put him in his "2nd origin team" (although tbf he is absolutely the worst judge of talent I have ever come across in the social media sphere, as well as obvious bias towards the titans due to being one of their 14 fans)

but hethrington runs bloody hard, has great late footwork, has high intensity, can ball play a little bit, doesnt have errors or penalties in him, and hits like a fucking steam train. Absolutely built for that arena. If he was in a cowboys jersey he would have been in the team this year. Not the most talented player but he is tailor made for it...

Good but not that good .
He`s been a bench player . Not an 80 minute guy .

Did what he has threatened to do the last cpl of years last week . Actually break the line .

Give him time .
You don`t think he would be squirming in his seat on Monday when they watch the tape ?
Kevvie and Darius would be pointing that out .

If he can`t / won`t learn .Seasons end . Move him on .

I say give him a go . I see potential in Fontesi .

He’s been playing fullback for over 2 years though, I haven’t seen any sign that he can grasp the defensive aspect of the game.

For context, Niu has only played 4 less NRL games at fullback for the broncos as Isaako had and no one is willing to give him more time (hopefully).

Not all kicks are bombs, what about the ones going into the try zone, these are typically ones I'm most worried about with Niu.

We have signed Walsh now, its pretty obvious we arent looking at Tesi for the 1 shirt. He's been one of the most overhyped players we have had here and he's nowhere near the hype level.

I know!! It's sad to see in a lot of ways. Part of me wants him to move on and kill it elsewhere. I just don't know what position he plays. You can see he has all the talent in the world but I don't know where he fits into a side.

Actually that is a area that is improving in his game. if you watch last nights game againsst parra he was constantly hanging around the ruck waiting for an offload or half break. but unfortunately they never came.

The only area im still concerned about with walsh is his defense out the back seems poor at times but apparently he is a good communicator and barks orders to plug caps alot but he doesnt seem to have that knack where he is always there when a team is trying to score.

he his super young though and im not to sure if any young fullback has that all figured out yet.
