Round 18 - Broncos vs. Sharks - Post Match Discussion

i'm pretty sure prince makes more tackle busts than peter wallace. that says a lot about wallace's attacking capabilities

I thought Prince was outstanding tonight. Highly entertaining game yet again, just frustrating to fall on the wrong end of the final result.

It would be so much easier to take if we didn't keep seeing Gumby Maranta **** up on the wing every time the ball goes near him.

Feel very dissapointed for the team they tried their guts out and came up short yet again. Norman is just fucking useless can't wait till he leaves. Both Prince and Wallace are below average and it's another reason to sign Shaun Johnson. And Hook, you're a nice bloke and I found you to be a good man to talk to but you seriously need to stop defending underperforming players, drop them or give them a good talking too. We have buckleys chance of making the finals now so I hope during the off-season you can take a good look at how you are coaching and improve it.

Wallace has less ability in offense, but he is a MUCH better defener than Prince and has a better kicking game, Wallace should be Five-Eighth, Hunt Half-Back.

Prince can get fucked.

Norman has the potential, but no heart.
Maranta has the heart, but not the skill/speed.

Fine with Macca staying as he is, as long as we have Baptiste come off the bench.

I know it's blasphemy to most..but I don't mind Anderson as depth..Lui on the other hand should never be in the side again.

big mistake by broncos board to tell griffin he's safe for next season. he'll just keep doing what he's doing now because in his mind he's the chosen one to coach us out of this rut

We are where we deserve to be.

The boys did some good things tonight and came closer than they had any right to but god damn am I disappointed. So close but despite putting in they just have the same ol' players pussy footing around and letting the team down. It's frustrating and it's gotten to the stage where even Stagg having a solid game is reason to celebrate and consider it a good performance.

It's hard and you can tell the likes of McGuire, Glenn, Hoffman etc. are busting their ass out there because they love the club MORE than anybody on here does but then you get total nuffies like Prince milking for a penalty. Seriously, **** Prince. I stand by the thread I made earlier. Can't change a winning team. We've lost 8 of our last 10, can we change now?

I'm seeing red. I really am.

When Prince stayed down after that tackle I actually had the thought "Man, I really hope he's injured".. But Prince being Prince, was just trying to milk a penalty, as Wallace has already mastered, they're both scum.

"I thought the lads showed great heart tonight, really scrambled in defense great, we were unlucky on a few occasions, we'll be better next week. Corey Norman was one of our best"

My prediction for Anthony Griffin at the presser

You left out a bit

I've stayed out of the sack Griffin thread recently and I still won't call for his head but if Maranta and Norman are named on Tuesday then I'm done with Griffin and I'll be joining the sack Griffin discussion. Seriously if he refuses to drop numpties like those two then I can't support him as a coach. Maranta gives it his all but he has no ability, Norman has some level of ability but is a useless ****. They both annoy me greatly. I don't care what happens, Oates has to play next week and Prince should be dropped with Hunt playing out the season in the halves at 7 and Baptise or Granville to be our bench hooker.

the only way anything will ever change in terms of squad selection and coaching positions is if we get flogged every week for the rest of the season. any losses with a margin less than 12 will be deemed a good effort

I'd happily keep Maranta in the side if it means we **** Norman off now. Maranta might be a gumby but at least he has a go. We had a real crack tonight but letting in soft tries and a lack of class and composure in key positions hurts us yet again. The very fact that we are yet to make one single signing to rectify this makes me depressed.

I have little doubt we will get flogged every week for the rest of the season.

For a while, I thought the combinations would click, Wallace and Prince would gel, but it's just not going to happen. They have no speed on the ground or in the head to compete at this level.

Griffin has to take the only option left. Drop Norman and Maranta, Wallace or Prince, and make Hala run 100 kms a week.

Better, still, if he had any honour, he would concede his coaching is not up to this level.

There were many positives in this game, but they were all let down by the absolute lack of any creative enterprise in play making.

I did however like Macca's lift in form. He actually looked quick off the mark tonight.

We also need to remember the Sharks played 1 man short for most of the match

if norman did anything but drop that sitter we would have won the game.

I agree that I'd rather Maranta over Norman because he at least (even if he is talent-less) gives it 100% but nah, Maranta has to **** off. I don't care who else gets the spot ahead of him, it's not like we have anything to lose by trying someone new.
