Time to forget about the Storm game and concentrate on our next game vs the Sharks.

We will be without our Origin reps (Thaiday, Parker, Gillett and Hodges)

Hopefully we should get Kahu and Hannant back (Broncos website has him out for 4 weeks and he was injured in round 13)

likely to be without Reed to injury

I would probably go with:

1. Norman (only until we get our Origin players back, then he can piss off)
2. Maranta (only due to mass injuries in our outside backs)
3. Hoffman
4. ????? - find a center from one of our QLD cup affilliates and give him a shot.
5. Kahu
6. Prince
7. Wallace
8. Dodds (he looks to have improved heaps this year, good defender as well)
9. Baptise (give him a shot)
10. Hannant
11. Glenn
12. McGuire
13. Oates/Timu (test out one of our youngsters

14. McCUllough (hopefully demotion to the bench wakes him up, if it doesn't kick his ass back to the QLD CUP)
15. Tasi
16. Hala
17. Oates/Timu

1. Kahu
2. Anyone but Maranta
3. Whitchurch
4. Glenn (he sits out there anyway may as well give him that number)
5. Hoffman
6. Wallace
7. Hunt
8. Hannant
9. Baptise
10. Hala
11. J.Wallace
12. Slyney
13. McGuire
14. McCullough
15. Tasi
16. Timu
17. Oates

completely forgot about J Wallace

It frustrates me how little time he gets from Hook. He always runs hard and tackles hard meanwhile we have Gillett rushing out and missing a lot of tackles and we have Glenn doing SFA out in the centres both getting 80 minutes most weeks, we have Hannant, Thaiday, Parker and McGuire who can all play big minutes effectively in the centre I really don't see why we have to persist with Glenn and Gillett for 80 minutes each week. I especially have always thought Gillett plays his best footy when he isn't playing 60+ minutes.

the sharks will tear us apart

OUT Norman, Maranta IN Bond & Kemp

WARNING: mute

Assuming we'll be without Jack Reed, Matt Gillett, Sam Thaiday, Corey Parker, Justin Hodges.. and maybe Ben Hannant (Not sure if he'll be ready)

1 - Corey Norman
2 - Lachlan Maranta
3 - Aaron Whitchurch
4 - Josh Hoffman
5 - Jordan Kahu
6 - Peter Wallace
7 - Scott Prince
8 - Josh McGuire
9 - Andrew McCullough
10 - David Hala
11 - Alex Glenn
12 - Corey Oates
13 - Mitchell Dodds

14 - Ben Hunt
15 - Dunamis Lui
16 - Scott Anderson
17 - Nick Slyney

I'm guessing we'll see something like that.. not even close to the team I'd pick.

1. Norman (He will never be dropped this year)
2. Kemp (Anyone but Maranta, even Tasi Jnr)
3. Kahu
4. Glenn - need his experience and defence with both our centres out
5. Hoffman
6. Prince
7. Wallace
8. Hannant
9. Macca
10. McGuire
11. Oates
12. Gibb
13. Wallace J

14. Hunt (He also will never be dropped this year)
15. Tasi
16. Hala
17. Dodds

Sharks are beatable if the usual rules of good NRL play hold: Fast defensive line speed, kick to the corners, enthusiastic kick-chase and get the ball working amongst the forwards

We don't have any of those qualities

The team that I think will be picked (not necessarily what I would pick) would be something like:

1. Norman
2. Maranta
3. Kahu
4. Hoffman
5. Whitchurch
6. Prince
7. Wallace
8. Hannant
9. Macca
10. McGuire
11. Glenn
12. Oates
13. Lui
14. Hunt
15. Hala
16. Dodds
17. Tasi

Actually on second thought, I'm probably being too optimistic thinking Tasi will be in the side, will probably be J Wallace or S Anderson

13. Mitchell Dodds

14. Ben Hunt
15. Lama Tasi
16. David Hala
17. Dunamis Lui

Meh.

Could be a few changes and I hope Hook makes an example out of Maranta but we're between a rock and a hard place right now.

Is Delroy Berryman an option for the wing or is he no hope because he is off to Manly?

I assume that's the case Beads.

Personally, I could give a stuff hey. I can see the argument...but personally I feel it's in everyone's interest that Maranta doesn't play next weekend.

That'll do me. You want Tasi on the wing he got injured yesterday and hasn't even signed yet!

... grrrrr.

Damn I hope Hannant plays. He really is our go to man and forwards organizer.
