Saw a stat today somewhere that said something like 20 out of 23 coming off a bye this year have lost and another two that won played another bye team. Doesn't look promising.
I don't think I could handle losing to a side led around the park by Soward & Wallace.
Who was it that predicted last year that Wallace would probably end up carving us up in a Panthers side that is higher on the ladder?
Will be coming off Origin III so side will look something like...
1. Ben Barba
2. Daniel Vidot
3. Jack Reed
4. Dale Copley
5. Lachlan Maranta
6. Josh Hoffman
7. Ben Hunt
8. Josh McGuire
9. Andrew McCullough
10. Corey Parker (c)
11. Alex Glenn
12. Sam Thaiday
13. Matt Gillett
14. Todd Lowrie
15. David Hala
16. Corey Oates
17. Jarrod Wallace
At least that is what I expect.
Personally, I'd treat the bye as an opportunity to really look at Kahu, Nichols or Taylor - try and help the kicking game while shifting Hoffman to the right wing in place of Maranta and play around with the bench.
Wayne Silver: So far there has been 20 Byes. 16 have lost the next week and the other 3 were wins against other teams also coming off a Bye.
It'll be nice watching our "new" and exciting halfback vs our old discarded nuffie halfback.
**** Wallace off ....that's not just an old reflex comment, I mean Jarrod.
We should start getting Molo into the picture.
