For mine, this is a crucial game for no other reason that we need to bury the stench of the loss to the Sharks and we need to establish our credentials as a top 8 side.

Assuming everyone steps up and shows pride and commitment for the club they play for, and to make amends for the disgraceful result last week, we can win this one.

Yes good points.

More than anything we need this win to help our confidence. It's been a few weeks now since we had a win, and we've got some very tough games ahead to finish the year off. Confidence is everything this time of year.

Our Origin players will really need to come back firing if we're to make the 8 and be competitive whilst there.

We won't get smashed as some people on here are suggesting. For some reason we always play almost exactly as good or as bad as our opponents. which means we either just win or just lose. Unfortunately I feel this game will result in the latter.

I'm expecting another tough loss, tbh. I would love to agree with the notion of wanting to bounce back quickly after the Sharks debacle but I can't see it with this team. I'm predicting it will play out either one of the following ways:

We'll stay within striking distance but crucial errors mean we'll run out of time (see the Warriors game).

We'll be in a winning position and get run down (see the Rabbitohs, Roosters games).

I have nothing but praise for individual players who are having an impressive season (Hunt, especially) but we keep persevering with the same, identical line-up and we wonder why we keep losing in the manner we are. It gets a bit frustrating...

This is exactly where I am. This year is already a right off so if we cant win it all (which we can't) I dont want to be there in the finals. At this point scrapping into the finals would be the worst possible result for our future. If we do manage to somehow sneak in there griffin will be safe for another year and we will keep playing players out of position, missing using the bench etc etc.

i think our biggest issue for the rest of this year and next year will be our forwards. there has not been a single game where we have really dominated in the middle.

even against the sharks before they made there second half comeback they were winning the metres gained on there set of six through there forwards and they arnt really in the top half of the best forward back int he comp yet they outplayed us there whole game i think. its a big worry and even when milf comes next year unless we vastly inmprove in that area we are are going to be a middle of the table team

I'm sorry, but i don't support that position. I want hook gone as much as anyone, but I personally want them to win as many games as possible, even if it means only just sneaking into the 8.

I doubt the Broncos board will tolerate mediocrity for too long, and unless we make it well into the finals i think hook will be a goner anyway. I reckon they will all ready be looking at their options. and if they weren't before last weeks loss to the Sharks, they have certainly started now.

Yeah....I disagree and to be frank, it's just more senseless Griffin bashing.

I'll take sneaking into the semi finals over missing out, any day of the week and twice on Sundays. I'm sure some of the younger players will benefit from making the semis and as we would all do well to remember, in finals football anything can happen.

I'm certainly not about to sit back and death ride the team just so Anthony Griffin's job security is put under the spot light.
