I'm mostly interested to see how we handle the Cowpats defensively tonight, they play a fast game and try to overpower teams early with speed. If we can stop their momentum, handle the early onslaught and restrict the points we go a long way to winning this.
Defence on our line will be interesting too. Cowboys aren't shy to grubber when in the ten. Walsh will have to be alert to it.

Haven't been to a game since 2018 I think so pretty pumped. Also driving for the first time because

1) **** paying Suncorp prices for watered down beer
2) **** trying to get public transport after a derby game.

Parking at work and walking to the Stadium, hopefully it isn't pissing down.

I heard Tallis saying on the Matty Johns show that the crowd is expected to be around 42k, I would be disappointed if it's not sold out.
With this weather?

Ok guys. Matty Johns has picked a combine Broncos/Cowboys team. let's see if you can spot a shock omission:

1. Scott Drinkwater
2. Selwyn Cobbo
3. Val Holmes
4. Herbie Farnworth
5. Murray Taulagi
6. Tom Dearden
7. Adam Reynolds
8. Reuben Cotter
9. Reece Robson
10. Payne Hass
11. Jeremiah Nanai
12. Kurt Capewell
13. Jason Taumalolo

14. Jake Granville
15. Jamayne Taunoa-Brown
16. Marty Taupau
17. Tom Flegler
He spelt Pat Carrigan wrong.

Granted, Adam needs all the protection he can get.

However, Justin Hodges didn’t always wait for a pass, he had no problem knocking the dummy half out of the way and go for a scoot to get us on the front foot when needed. Sometimes twice in the one set of six.

I don’t doubt Kotoni could do the same with the inclination or given the opportunity. In fact I believe he would do just as good a job as Hodgey did back in the day, if he took the chance.
Firstly, Hodgo was a different player and I can't remember well his earlier years if he did that, or if he did that as an older, wiser leader in the team. Secondly, Hodges wasn't coming off two horrible seasons where nothing was clicking and the coach wasn't trying to simplify roles for most players to make sure the fundamentals worked. Third, as I said earlier, the ball often goes to the other side and it's clear the Broncos have a routine order for working the ball out of their half.

Give it time and maybe we will see Kotoni make more scoots, but it's still early days this season and he's doing a pretty good job IMO

There was this one time late last season where Kotoni ran , then Selwyn and then Kotoni again then Selwyn they got a roll on and then ... they knocked the ball on or went into touch . Can`t remember but , the idea and the effort were on display . Haven`t seen it since .

Just got home from work, fucking pumped for this game tonight!!!
Hell im pumped for Eels v Sharks as well, just stoked the footy is back!

Ezra for a hat-trick, Feldt to be binned for 10 and Patty to celebrate his new contract with a try to seal the game!
Broncos by 20. But Patty will get over.

Carrigan to score a 2 point field goal right on half time.
