Thoughts on this? Doesn’t bother me personally but the NRL have
consistency problems and you just know they’ll stuff it up.

I wonder if Souths are thinking they stuffed out on two counts with letting Reyno walk but also Taaffe.

This side would right now be a contender:
1. Taaffe
2. Graham / someone until he is fit again
3. L.Mitchell
4. Wighton
5. Johnston
6. Walker
7. Reynolds
8. Tatola
9. Cook
10. S.Mitchell (he impressed me last night)
11. Koloamatagi
12. Arrow/someone until he is fit again
13. Murray

14. Havili
15. Burgess
16. Host/Moale
17. Host

Now given they don't have that option any more, I really think they would still benefit by Latrell going back to centre but not sure who should be their fullback. Also, their 7 is a massive issue, not sure what their answer is there - get desperate and give Gray a shot?
I don't reckon they are regretting letting taafe go at all. He was terrible for the dogs in round 1 and the trial.

Reynolds on the other hand. That's honestly turned out to be a generational stuff up. 100 times out of 100 I would have let walker go before Reynolds, even latrell. Latrell is a better player (ON POTENTIAL MIND YOU) but Reynolds is more important to a teams consistent success. Even the guidance he will deliver after his retirement was worth the risk of maybe 1 bad year. Dumbasses.

For all the frustrating moments and dumb errors, you can't deny this side is box office. Haven't seen an attacking force like this in years.
If we can learn to be better composed, patient and build pressure consistently then this side could absolutely be anything....

It's Latrell, he'll be applauded for being "refreshingly honest".

The NRL have made a rod for their own back by going all on on making him their poster boy for indigenous players. JT had a lot of off field things that they swept under the carpet, but publicly and on the field he was everything you could want in a role model. Latrell has attributes that you can sell as admirable, like passion, being outspoken, and extremely talented. But he is also petulant, hot-headed, lazy and is prone to dog shots. And unfortunately because of his talent, he's never been made to pull his head in because he was either winning games or held on too high a pedestal. So we see actions that should see him being punished or reprimanded explained away or ignored, or worse, the PR spin in overdrive to turn it in to a positive.

Swearing doesn’t bother me. Im more worried at the fact that he doesn’t care about that atrocious game that they just played and he’s just happy he got his 100th try…. I think The rabbits fans are going to have a tough year

The sad thing about Latrell, is he would be incredible if he applied himself better.
Everyone knows what he is capable of, but because he is prone to laziness and letting his temper get the better of him, we may never see him achieve what he is capable of.

He needs a better coach, and better people around him to get the best out of him, and it seems like he has the opposite of all that at Souths where he is given free reign because of his status in both the NRL and indigenous communities.

Just another note on last nights game.

Even though it was a sloppy, error ridden game, seeing both Cobbo and Staggs stand up and actually put in a solid effort was fuggen awesome.
I have been a fan of both Staggs and Cobbo since day one, but couldn't ignore that they were in poor form and lazy on a lot of occasions, and to see them both put on performances like last night was awesome.

Up the Broncs!

Well, kids watch this game, he is a role model, it wouldn't be hard to refrain from cussing for a 2 minute interview.
Bloke is a clown in my book.

Being slammed.

The media should be allowed to interview players straight after a game. Give them 5- 10 mins grace before interviews.

I too would swear, only because it was Dobbo.
I might get the occasional slip up if you lost a big game and the emotion got the better of you, but this guy just cussed a handful of times after putting in a shit performance.
Its not necessary and this is a family sport.

Hope he gets a nice fine for it to be honest.

Yeah, Maroon on Triple M (an outspoken Souths fan) absolutely tore him one and begged for someone at Souths to get him to pull his head in.

So... Countdown to the race card?

What an awful game from both sides - hard to watch.

We look completely out of sorts at the moment - our forward aren't dominating the middle and going forward, our spine has been extremely rusty and the amount of mistakes is wild. The lone bright spot has been that our defence has looked decent.

Hopefully a side effect of the disjointed start to the season and whole Vegas fiasco and we can settle into the grind. Back to basics - dominate the middle of the field, drive hard and then let the flashy players work off the back of fast PTBs.

Reynolds on ice for a while to get his body right probably isn't the worst outcome and will pay dividends at the end of the season.

Wilison needs to come in (probably for Tapau, who offers very little anymore). Mariner justifying his selection over Oates.

On to the next one...

Exactly this.
I would be filthy if ANY of the Broncos carried on like this. The swearing is one thing, however, not giving a *beep* about the result and carrying on about your 100th is another.
I don’t care I *beep* swore just then
