POST GAME Round 2 - Broncos vs Cowboys

I thought blockers weren't allowed for field goals anymore
Should've been penalty
It's going to lol at Archer trying convince everyone about the bullshit calls

Mirrored the gf. We get deserved penalties in the first half due to the cows doing whatever the hell they want, but somehow we, by some force of nature, become a less disciplined team in the second half and get shit all penalties while the cows grow halos. The count finishes close to even at the end... somehow.

They have more time cause JT catches the ball and kicks from just two quick steps. Not bad.

I think we can pretty much rule out Milford being a clutch player at this stage of his career.

For the field goal attempt, we just dont snap the ball back to him quickly enough. We always float it which give the chasers plenty of time to get to him.

Goal kicking lost us the game yet again.... pretty tired of this shit.

Sure, we had plenty of chances, but the real difference in the result tonight is that the Cowboys are smarter coached than us, notice every time Milford had a field goal he had a defender in his face? That's by design, they always have 1-2 players well off-side on field-goal attempts, whereas Thurston had nothing but daylight in front of him because we follow the rules.

If I'm being honest, we lost this game because of Bennett, he needs to coach the team how to cheat better in these situations, because the NRL are completely fine with you being off-side and holding the opposition down in the ruck in golden point.

Cowboys will be stuffed with 2 straight golden point wins

It's just shitty footy to watch. It should be 5 min each way, try, penalty goal or draw.

Our bench was pretty epic tonight. But Milford had so many chances to win it, the elite halves would have iced it. I think this week benji needs to ferry hunt and milf to Suncorp again and practice field goals.

Yeah. Best player in the grand final, has already had a handful of clutch moments, and some where he has stuffed. Is already 22 and with only a couple more years in his career it is definitely too late.

Good call.

Chuck on your reading glasses,, I said at this stage of his career. Not for the remainder of his career. He's blown more game winning opportunities than anyone else in the NRL in the last 2 and a bit years. Kicking the occasional field-goal doesn't make him clutch. Kicking it dead and making errors of judgement in nearly every golden point proves that he's not.. At this stage of his career.

in the end the game was still there for us to win. but in saying that we are not the only team sick of this bs from refs. some certain teams know that they can play dirty in the ruck first half and will always get the square up soft penalties at the end of game were it matters most and fatigue sets in

this bs mentality from the refs that penalties have to not be one sides is a farce. if a team is doing the wrong thing then penalise them, i dont care if its 20-5 penaly count.

its just bs what nrl fans have to put up with and it has been happening every fuckin game for years now.

so many fans across the country are over it.

What i take from that is: if anyone thinks we cant make the top 4, take a look at that performance, paticularly essese, moga and arrow. They made some mistakes tonight as all young player tend to do, but come the end of the year they're going to be mighty hard to beat. And good on hunt for his performance (with a bit of pressure too). I liked what i saw from both halves tonight, despite some mistakes from milford. This is the first game in a while he really looked like he wanted to take the game by the throat.

If we kick them suddenly we are 4 points in front and **** golden point.

As brandy put it, the refs are to scared to call anything in Golden point
