POST GAME Round 2 - Broncos vs Cowboys

Just re-watched the game.

It really upsets me that when we had our final set of 6 with 40seconds left on the clock, 5th tackle Milf tried to run the ball - he got tackled then offloaded it to Macca who made a hit up and handed the ball over to the Cowboys on the 40m line. FFS, this is everything wrong with the Broncos for the last 3 years. Can we please for the love of Pete get a kick into touch. Mitchell Pearce of all people did it brilliantly for the Knights last night.

I love the attitude turn around, but this is the 1 biggest thing wrong with our team, it's also why we lost the freaking grand final. Closing out games.
Absolutely spot on observation Mrs Long. I was screaming at them to kick it out, no game management sense at all.

I think the point of that was to hold onto the ball and wind down the clock, only it didn't work out as planned.

I'm not sure why Niko is getting the blame for this try. What the **** was Gillett doing?

He was lazy and Thurston took advantage because he was able to get Cooper one-on-one with Niko. Putting no pressure on Thurston whatsoever and too slow coming across to close the hole.

You get a forward like Cooper one-on-one with Niko and 9 times out of 10, Cooper goes straight through.

LOL, Knik clearly falls for Thurston's move and walks off his spot, opening a giant hole for Copper to run through, but it's somehow Gillett's fault. Cool story!

I don't think Knik moved off his spot....it was just a poor attempt at a tackle.
Gillett certainly could have put more pressure on Thurston. He gave him an eternity to decide what to do.

The replay from behind shows it perfectly. He opens the hole!

Lol surprise surprise. You really are incapable of being objective when it comes to Gillett, aren't you? Like when you actually tried to defend Gillett for tripping Thurston.

Considering it's Gillett job to mark up on Cooper..

Yep, it is Gillett's fault, just like it's also Niko's fault. They are both at fault. But to say that Niko is 99% at fault, if you believe that then there is something wrong with you.

Thurston never should have even been in a position to come up with that play.. No pressure at all from Gillett and then slowly moved across despite knowing that was Thurston's go to play close to the line.

Felt like Gillett was trying to avoid going for Thurston in case Thurston passed the ball, but then he just does nothing after Thurston passes besides trying some girly push. It's kinda funny watching that.
