PRE-GAME Round 2 - Titans vs Broncos

I reckon we've got this. Can I remind everyone we were in last night's game up until the last minute, with three men down. One of them was our only Origin player (on the night), who'd just scored two tries. Another was our forwards leader. And the other, our experienced Mr Fixit. We only let in one more try than we scored, and some of us have questionmarks over at least one of them. And we were dissallowed a try that most of us think should've been awarded, and even so it was on the back of a glaring fuckup in communication that Kevvie will be all over.

Kevvie has plenty of things to work on this week, but at least attitude won't be one of them.

The other thing is the Eels when they click are legit contenders. Titans and Bulldogs look to be improving, but they still aren't challenging for the title this year.

Also worth considering if Melbourne would have capitulated if they lost three essential players and Souths would have ran away with it. Not directly related to our situation but similar enough to consider in terms of where everyone is at. Only round one though.

The main thing I'd like to see is stop letting in flukey tries and start scoring them.

On the 6 agains, teams are obviously happy to pin down the kicker returners and get the 6 again call with essentially no penalty and give there line time to set. Why you wouldn’t happily hold down on the first 1 to 2 tackles every time in the opposition 20 beats me. It should 100% be a penalty and not a 6 again.

It would be the equivalent of Addo-Carr, Bromwich and Finucane going down and the refs making every decision against them, though it’s the Storm so that would only happen once, they’d whinge and the rules would be changed but you get the point.

We don’t get six agains anyway mate. The opposition can do what they like against us.
Us on the other hand well that’s a different story FML
Does anyone know if the 6 again stats are published anywhere? I can't find anything... might need to start recording them myself.

fox sports have them in the match center

it was 4 set restarts each ... although something like 3 of ours were given in 3 straight tackles pretty much negating their usefulness

I don’t think anyone played them self out of a jersey last game. A lot of things to work on but everyone put in. If there weren’t any injuries you’d almost choose the same line up based on who earned there spots. Riki should get less minutes, fairly disappointing outside of kick pressure early on. Turpin may need someone to relieve him for 10, his running game was very stunted and you could tell he was pacing himself - still a great performance.

Bullimore is really impressing so far, he probably earned a few extra minutes. I thought it was a bit unfair that with all the injuries he still didn’t get any game time until late in the match.

I guess Arthurs or Copley come straight in on that Coates wing, and you bring in some new benchies for Lodge and Asiata if they’re all out.

1. Isaako
2. Mead
3. Farnworth
4. Niu
5. Copley
6. Miflord
7. Croft
8. TPJ
9. Turpin
10. Flegler
11. Glenn
12. Riki
13. Carrigan

14. Paix
15. Bullimore
16. Teo
17. Oates??

Dont worry it'll eventually happen to souths, roosters or storm and the NSWRL will change the rule to a penalty when it's inside your own 50m and 6 again inside the attacking 50m.

I mean it's not that fucking hard to see how a rule will be exploited and a simple way to fix it 🙄🙄🙄

Six agains early in the tackle count are exploitable by the defence and six agains late in the tackle count are match breaking for the attack.
Six agains should only really be allowed on tackle 3 if you gotta have them.

Fox sports have them in the team stats for each game
