[Round 20, 2021] Broncos vs Cowboys

This argument is so dumb. I don’t care the mechanics behind why he’s kicking it dead on the full, the fact is he does it way too much and if he can’t control the sweetness of his hits than he shouldn’t be kicking off.

Reynolds and Feldt have kicked it out less between them in their careers than he has this season.

He gets maaad hang time too.

???

Feldt is just as bad these days.

He christened Queensland Country Bank Stadium by kicking it out on the full.

did you play tennis huge?
Yes and no. I was capable and like many perhaps could have done well. Decent hand eye coordination. Snooker was my passion and the adult rep sport. Athletics as a kid.

Maybe I've been out of the loop for too long, but since when did Jake Granville start playing fullback?

Since Val and Hammer got injured ie. last week.

He was barely tested under the high ball though... would love to see us rain down some floating bombs on him

It’s time to consider banning people on forums who derail discussion in every thread. I’ve got the poster in question on ignore but still have to put up with this shit in every thread. I’m sure others are the same
Speaking of derailing, I once spent two days stationary on a Vietnamese train that got derailed by a typhoon. Turned into something of a party.

Anyone else have any stories of being derailed?

I used to play hockey and I can assure you if that one time I missed a goal to win the game I told my teammates, yeah sorry guys I just hit it too well for it to go in, they wouldn't have been overly happy.
I think its more about power then accuracy when applying this "hitting it in the sweet spot". I.e. a pass would go much more faster then intended. Missing a goal is more about not being able to aim lol (although i could see it happening in sports when trying to curve a ball such as soccer).

Unless the "broken thumb" is actually a "broken thumbnail" there's no way he should be playing. In fact, in his situation - given how important full strength grip is to tackling and passing - a broken thumb would be close to season ending.

I'll be surprised if he takes the field.
Even if his thumb was fine he should be dropped anyway imo

Might be a high scoring game with all our 'missed and ineffective tackles'...

Disappointed with Croft getting picked again... I'm hoping that it is more so a smoke screen with Turps to pull out and Croft to drop back to the bench.

I just feel Croft is so far out of form that the responsibility of having to be a play maker in this side is probably not going to help his cause, getting dropped to the bench won't help either, but at least it can be sold that it's a necessary move due to injuries picked up.

I'm not sure what Albert has done to fall out of favour or if it is Kevvie somehow trying to instil some confidence in the team by sticking strong with Croft (i.e. stopping the chopping and changing), but Albert has showed far more this year and against better teams than Croft has since coming back into the team.

Coming from the bench might be a little less pressure on Croft as well... although I don't necessarily like his passing game as I can't recall him ever doing a bullet pass, which could mean his service won't be great on top of having no experience in the position to know the nuances.

If Turps pulls out I can see Kevvie moving Kobe to hooker, TC to start and who the **** knows comes onto the bench looking at those reserves... maybe Albert to get a 5mins cameo at the end when the score is 18-6, because the entire attack is left to Gamble.

Extremely frustrating that a winnable game like this one could be undone by Kevvie picking a guy that is miles out of form instead of the guy who has provided a win against better opposition, was the lead play maker in that game, and has been a spark to our attack and kicking game in the games that he has played in.

I am both a musician and a former state rep in the sporting arena ( two sports) and have an understanding of rhythm and timing. There were times when I hit things too well and even surprised myself. Ask any sportsperson and they'd relate to it I feel certain. I've explained how this can happen when pushing the boundaries. It's probably best exemplified by tennis players who can hit a ball with enormous power, top spin and curvature with ball after ball landing within millimeters of the baseline all while standing metres behind their own baseline. Every now and then they get surprised by how perfectly they've made contact and the ball 'flies' long, perhaps only by a trifle but at other times by considerably longer margins.

It doesn't matter though what is said or written because you've decided you know the outcome of a test/experiment that hasn't been performed. It's fine to guess or predict an outcome but proclaiming a result is certain is fundamentally flawed.
Former rep tennis player and current rep volleyballer here.

No. That's called a miss hit, Huge.
