Lest we forget:

lol. It's actually pretty funny looking at that tigers team list. They actually had a decent squad that year.

I think the Sharks will give Penrith a good test. They're on a bit of a role themselves.

They’ve met some of the better teams at a good time which I think makes them look better than they are. Cows we’re backing up from origin and tested some players and Storm are becoming also rans. This game against Penrith might be a reality check for them.

Why didn`t he play more trials then ?
And if they thought he was a #1 why did he play halves in the trials ? As they knew Tesi was out .

Jamayne Isaako played #1 in the 1st round against the Rabbitohs .

The players basically picked TMM after Tesi went down . They told Kev he is good enough and ready enough .
TMM was doing good things in opposed training that`s where he proved himself .
Because they wanted to get games in him first before anything, why do I need to repeat myself, the anything part meaning his relation to being part of the broncos first team setup, broncos are not the only team doing trials so are the teams in Qcup.

He was signed on a development contract not a first team player contract for a reason, just for reference that puts him at the same level as Mozer a player who hasn't touched a Broncos jersey in any game yet or been in the reserves at any point.

The need to repeat yourself is to convince yourself you know what you`re talkin about ?

You will need to explain to me what the reason was he was signed on train and trial but he was the number 1 choice as full back ?

More games ? But not more trials with the players he is likely to play with if you think he is 1st choice #1 ?
You are not making sense ?

He was not the same as Mozer . He had already played for New Zealand . So he just needed to prove he was fit to play . Mozer has never played 1st grade and is an unknown quantity at NRL level .

Is the concept of he wasn't in the plans at first but once they saw him play he rose to the top a completely foreign thing to you?

Do you think a pecking order of a position is rigid and will never change based on what it was at the start of the season?

What is your point here?

Once his team mates at the Broncos told the coaches how good he was in opposed training you mean ?
He did next to nothing in the trial he played . Then Tesi got injured . The 1st grade squad told the coaches this guy is killing it at training he`s ready .
Like I said yesterday if he is fit this week . Then we will see who is top dog . Until then we are both speculating .

I'm not disputing anything about where he was when he started, but once he started playing is a different story and yes it was after Tesi got injured, I'm still convinced that TMM walks into the fullback spot once he is fit unless Walsh comes in or he leaves in a swap.

Ofcourse it requires him to actually be fit to prove it but thanks for pointing out the obvious.

You know he was playing for Wynnum and training with the Broncos during the week? They watch the feeder games.

Well they didn't do too bad, just way too many errors. Need to be more switched on to beat Penrith. Although Penrith didn't look that good themselves...

I felt the conditions again suited Cronulla. On a dry track, they would have been slaughtered I feel.

This is a danger game.

We could finish as high as 2nd, depending on other results. Or we could drop down to 7th.

We need to be switched on and just play like we did against the Eels.

I'm hoping TMM comes back in place of Tesi. We just seem a better team when TMM is there.
Tesi adds that X factor though and makes the backline so much more potent. He and Mam ran circles around the big Parra forwards and they had no answers. He may struggle a bit defensively and may commit the odd error or two which isn't unusual for someone with 20+ games experience. TMM did a good job back there but I'd much rather Tesi holding his spot.

Tesi's defensive intensity makes me nervous, I'm not gonna lie.

But his attacking skills... And ball movement. He is RIPPING passes. Some of them are tracer bullets.

Him, and Gamble in particular, are great to watch. In full flight, they're throwing full strength balls that more often than not are hitting the target AT PACE. It's beautiful to watch.

he's also pumping out big meters which is helping our go forward, not taking anything away from TMM but he's definitely a 6 that can cover 1.

It’s the tigers, I’ve got no issues with Tesi holding his spot for this one. Their kick options are flaccid and their defence is terrible - Tesi will rip them to shreds. It’s the Panthers/Storm/Cowboys/Dogs/Sharks where he worries me. Teams that have decent kicking games or potent goal line attacks.
