**** them.

We'll make it two in a row.

They played the full 90 and lost anyway, we will extend their misery.

If we can play like Manly did in the first half, we'll give ourselves a chance. If we just play one out and try to grind out a win, we'll lose.

Oh we're going to need to play our absolute best to do it but if they can't be up for this challenge they're not serious. Even if we lose, I can't imagine it being by much. There's no greater challenge than beating the Storm, I reckon they will have a point to prove.

It would be amazing to see Bellamy lose his shit two weeks in a row.

Seibold said Dearden will definitely be back next week, but didn't say whether it's going to be for the Broncos or QCup.

However, if he does play, Boyd will remain at 5/8.

Shibasaki will also be available for selection next week.

Glenn could have played out the rest of the game but given the score, the Broncos staff decided to keep him off and not risk it so that bodes well for his chances next week.

Tonights manly Vs storm result is the worst possible thing that could have happened for us. They will spewing and stirred up. Times it by 10 because 90% of the "Melbourne" team are from brisbane and combine it with a 3rd ref, and we better turn up to avoid complete and utter embarrassment.

Anthony Seibold knows Storm will be up for Broncos
Ed Jackson
Brisbane coach Anthony Seibold has seen first hand how much NRL games against the Broncos mean for Melbourne mentor Craig Bellamy.
If there’s one thing Anthony Seibold knows about Craig Bellamy, it’s that the Melbourne Storm coach loves an NRL match against Brisbane.

Seibold was an assistant to Bellamy – the man he describes as the best coach he’s ever worked with – during his apprenticeship before eventually going on to become a head coach himself.

As Brisbane prepare to face the table-topping Storm at Suncorp Stadium on Friday, the Broncos coach is only too aware of how well-prepared their opponent will be.

“I’m not sure (why), you’d have to ask Bellyache but I know he gets up for the Broncos games,” Seibold said.

“He’ll have them ready to go.

“I love Bellyache as a person, a coach and I’ve got so much respect for that organisation. They’ll be ready to play at their best.”

The visit of the Storm looms as a major test of Brisbane’s finals credentials.

The Broncos’ 34-12 hammering of ailing Gold Coast on Saturday lifted Seibold’s team into the top eight, having been a lowly 14th after a three-game losing run in June.

The Storm will be determined to bounce back after their agonising golden-point loss to Manly but Seibold didn’t feel the clash would be season-defining for his team.

“At the moment they’re the best team in the competition,” Seibold said.

“They’ve been in the last three grand finals. They’ve got probably the best player that’s ever played the game. They’ve got, in my opinion, the best coach that’s coached our game.

“It’s going to be a really big test but whatever happens our season’s not defined by what happens next Friday night.”

The Broncos are hopeful Alex Glenn’s groin strain won’t prevent him facing the Storm while young halfback Tom Dearden is also expected to have recovered from the ankle injury which has kept him sidelined since early June.

Queensland representative forward Matt Gillett (groin) may also return while Tom Flegler will be available after missing the Titans clash due to suspension.

Seibold however said he’ll be wary of rushing Dearden in against Melbourne with Jake Turpin likely to stay in the No.7 jersey for another week.

“I’m not decided on that, Turps has done a fantastic job there – we’ve won three and drawn one of our last four games … I just want to have a think about that.”

I’d agree with Seibold resting Dearden. If he’s picked we'd probably lose Turpin to the bench and Seggy altogether. We need Seggys X factor in this game. To beat them we need to play unstructured, unconventional.

Why this madness, coach why??
Keep the same friggin team and just move Boyd to centre.

Bit annoyed we wont have TPJ for this one, we need all the offloads we can get to be any chance.

Flegler in for TPJ if he's suspended (which he will be, but should not be) otherwise for Palasia; the rest stays as-is. Please, coach, no more changes. We need to work solely on edge defence this week with the team we have, to tighten that up. Any more changes will just mess it up even more and the Storm will tear us to shreds.

Dearden to come back through Q-Cup this week with an eye on the Cows next weekend if he gets through it ok.

The key (especially after their last game) is to play an uptempo game with plenty of offloads. However, if we dont shore up our defence we will lose for sure.
The titans got some tries and some breaks with some flimsy defence in front of them. On the flip side, there was worse defence (by a large margin) from the titans themselves. If I was a Titans supporter I would be calling for heads to roll because that was diabolical.
Our forwards just need to do what they been doing and make a platform for our backs. Our backs need to be patient and wear the storm down, then go for the jugular.
I think the storm will be right for the picking, provided our defence holds (especially our left side).

Wow....If we can beat the purple *****, and Canberra and Manly lose their next couple of games, we're top 4.

Not really, we are on 19 and they are 2.5 games clear on 24.
We'd have to win the next 3 (Storm, Cows, Panthers) to get to 25.

Both need to lose the next 3 as well, to remain on 24 for us to jump into top 4.
Not forgetting Eels and Panthers above us also would have to fall by the wayside for this to happen. Unlikely scenario for us in the top 4 but I am more than happy with 8th position atm, anything above that is a bonus from here on.

TPJ is suspended for sure given his carry points, let’s see what differences Gillett can bring to our game
If TPJ is suspended, i don't give us any chance. For us to win we need him to go out there like a man possessed like he did against cowboys earlier this year. He is the one that brings aggression to our forward pack more than anyone else.

Pangai will probably have to accept the week. There is a case to answer but it's marginal and probably should have simply put down as accidental.

How does pangai get a grade two for that shot and Trbojevic get a grade one for dumping Hughes on his head in a lifting tackle? Fucking ridiculous double standards there
Yep the nrl is a joke.
