Copley is a quality defender ... he showed that against the Roosters.

His problem is just that he was continuously being moved all around the backline and that can throw out a players timing. Kahu had a similar problem against the Bulldogs.

besides his attack is awesome, we saw that last season when he was our leading try scorer.

If he gets some consistency in the left center position, he can get back to his best form, which we only saw a fraction of last year IMO. and I also think that once he gets back to top form again, he offers this club far more upside than Reed does when he is in top form.

Glad to see Oatesy in the starting side, Kahu, however is a liability in defence.

And if all you care about is money then fine, but Bennett did us a big favour getting rid of both, we needed players who had the hunger to succeed, not just the pay cheque.

As for Copley his in a tough position atm, Bennett will want to minimise as much changing of the side in the critical games ahead, his always struggled to really click out on the wing and atm that's tough enough to crack as it is and in the centres Reed is clearly finding the sort of form that made him an exciting prospect, both have their strengths and weaknesses, but even so it's hard to justify dropping an inform and improving Reed for a player who has struggled to stay on the field this season and been mixed when has been. It's a shame cause I really rate Copley, but things just happen.
