I like Glenn out wider than T'eo. Glenn has a very good step and I reckon he's more agile laterally than T'eo. In fact I reckon he's as effective in the centres, wing, FB wherever, as in the back row.

I have to agree. I think Glenn would be effective anywhere, he just always seems to know what to do and what is needed

I think people are somewhat forgetting how much Glenn improved upon being moved into the backrow from the centres last year.

Absolutely. His place is the back row. However, given a shortage of outside backs due to injuries, Glenn is the best equipped back rower to handle it.

Gillett is also capable, but defensively Glenn is so much better at reading the play.

And you got to remember too, Glenn, Te'o & Gillett all share the role.

We're basically getting the best of both worlds.

Nah he wasn't.

Unsure if it's good news or not. Bird has always performed poorly against us since joining the Titans. I still have vivid memories of Hodges shaping him up and then swatting him away to score the match winner on the Titans home turf.

that was so awesome, such a tense match!

Agreed.

He'll be more than a handy fill-in for Reed in the centres.

Surely we can't play as bad as Canberra did on Sunday, which made the Titans look good in my opinion. We beat them quite convincingly in Round 8 (22-6) and they had come off a real good win against Manly at Brookvale (26-14). The titans have Ashley Harrison back which would boost their forwards but without Bird who is leading their forward pack in every stat I still think they are short odds against a Broncos forward pack that was forced to work overtime against the Warriors. We beat the Titans last time by domianting the battle for territory and possesion and had the game won by halftime. This makes me think if we go in with the right attitude and play through the middle and if the halves click together everything should work like clockwork.

I reckon at this point in the season, there should be no "ifs" about it. It has to happen

The talk is mainly about filling the vacant centre position. Shows how lacking we are when Glenn, Teo and Gillett's names get thrown around again.

For mine they're backrowers and that's where they should play

Gagai is making it hard to watch and not curse him the way he's started at the Knights .......would have been very handy right about now. Shame he couldn't get his shit together with us.

Not saying I disagreed.....just sayin' it

You may not disagree with the decision made but theres no certainty he would have turned it around even if he was still at the club, often it takes leaving to get yourself back on track, I would be very careful assuming that because his playing well at Newcastle thats how he would be performing now for the Broncos if he was still at the club. Personally I'd rather have good attitude "backrowers" Te'o or Glenn in the centres at present, then the uncertainty that we would be facing now with Gagai if he was at the club, at least you know where you stand with Te'o and Glenn, for all we know Gagai could have still been on a fast ride down to ending his career if the club had of retained him.

In the end though it doesnt matter, his not here and theres no point in wishing for something that wont happen.

Completely comfortable with the decision to punt Gagai. He was far too comfortable here and it showed with his lax attitude. He's going great guns now and while you couldn't have predicted the loss of our left side backs we've got good coverage in Maranta and Whitchurch. The Gagai move has definitely been the best outcome for both parties.

Forgot about Aaron Whitchurch.......liked what I saw the other week. He's primarily a centre in the QLD cup isn't he?

Would rather see him at centre than one of the 3 back rowers.......

Broncos play to their strengths, being pretty much the entire Qld SOO forward pack in our squad.

We will win ugly in a forward battle but god help us if we have to chase points

I trust that Hook made the right call on Gagai, so I agree that it was the right decision. I take it that even if he was still at the Broncos, the fact that he would have been "gifted" the jersey through injuries to other players would have reinforced his poor attitude.

That said, he is an immensely talented player; moreso than hard workers like Reed, Hoffman or Yow Yeh. If he has the right conditions, he could be the next GI.
