Seriously the more you post the more you embassy yourself. Josh Hoffman was not a nobody in 2011 and he isn't a nobody this year. You are clearly upset that Josh Hoffman didn't sign your hat or something.

I'm a fan of giving players their due. Hoffy is somebody who's put his body on the line for us and to see all this crap sprouted about how he's a one season wonder or has no playmaking ability to be grossly inaccurate.

I don't think he's a one season wonder, and I think he's a good player. He really isn't a ball player though. If you call him one, you can pretty much call most players in the comp one too. He doesn't suit the side now that Lockyer is gone IMO.

I don't think he's a ball player but by the same token I don't think he has zero playmaking ability when there are examples that prove otherwise. Patience.

I never said otherwise mate.
My point was more about people having different perceptions about players and footy... I didn't think Wallace was that bad last Friday, especially when compared with his abysmal display against the Sharks. And I found the criticism exaggerated, just like Hoffman's critics have been...

And don't you think his performances against the Sharks (Cows & Souths games were pretty ordinary performances too) add weight to the criticism? He was poor on Friday and deserved to be bagged for the most part. His final kick was a beauty and I was the first (and probably only) person to praise him for it.

Hoffman isn't bad, he just isn't suiting our side at the moment. He was one of our best players when Lockyer was still playing and we didn't need as much help creating things.

This. And as you have also posted, its about the quality of the ball that gets out wide which first presupposes structure.

We need Hunt and Wallace in the halves, look at the games where Hunt and Norman played together, they were great and Hoffman was still shit. We can have the best of both worlds with Hunt and Wallace in the halves and Norman at the back, it needs to happen, we'd gain that playmaking advantage all across the park, the halves improve and our fb attack improves by 100000%.

Our attack would improve slightly and and defence would go to shit. Great idea take this to hook immediately!!!

We can't increase Hoffmans involvement though, it's nothing. Our best option is to immediately ditch the Hoff, he is a nobody. Our attack will look so much better distributed amongst our big three in Wal, Hunt and Norman than amongst Wal and Norman with Hoff being a massive passenger. Norman won't be so heavily relied upon either, big load of his shoulders and we'd get instant results.

Get off the hard stuff. I really don't know or care why you have this vendetta against hoffman but he is a quality fullback that is still young and is still developing. His attack is developing slower than I and many would like but his defence has been invaluable. At the moment our halves are not creating much and we are defending ourselves into wins and you want to lose that???

How bad was Norman defensively in the few games he had at the back, really? Be honest here.

And our defense on the line would actually increase and our attack would increase a lot more than slightly, Hoffwoman offers nil.

Being a fullback isn't always about scoring points... traditionally it about stopping them. Hoffman does this pretty well. and his safe under the highball...

now to get back onto what this thread is really about;
