And then there is the issue, as Porthoz and Alec say, of structure in attack, e.g. regularly executing effective set plays. Those top teams do it. We don't. It's not because the plays aren't there, it's because there seems to be no-one to call them, to, dare I say it, organize the team.

Well said.

A lot of the time the lack of back line depth and general organisation is what lets us down.

As Wallace is the senior half, I'm guessing the organisation or lack thereof falls mostly on his shoulders.

Just a thought on Hoffman. When he was hit by Wade Grahame recently ( the in goal hit ) he was, to my mind, out on his feet. He had been hit twice in the ten minutes previous to that and to me did not look as though he actually knew where he was and what he was doing.I thought they may have taken him off previously to the Grahame hit .It reminded me of a boxer who has been knocked rotten but somehow remains on autopilot. Seemingly okay but not okay at all.

I'm actually a bit worried about Josh Hoffman. I was hoping he would be rested for the following games and his health closely monitored. That is not to say that is not already the case but he just doesn't seem okay. He's taken some major hits lately especially the pounding he received from GI. A few years ago there was genuine concern for K Hunt when he endured a similar run. Maybe I'm way off base but Hoffmans recent form is now being questioned. He may not be right/well enough.

When you consider the bashing GI gave him as well.........you might be on to something. You would think the Broncos management team / medical staff would be all over this though.

I thinking that missing out on Inglis ended up being quite a bit of a blow, even though we discovered Reed because of it. He's playing some incredible footy at fullback, I think he's better than even Slater there.

Confirmed Copley has a fractured fibula a la Reed. That's a blow.

I'm guessing they'll do what Porthoz suggests and just put Maranta in.
I wouldn't mind seeing Whitchurch on the bench though. He can play back row, centre or wing. Gives some flexibility to bring him on and shift Glenn to back row. And if our back injury curse continues he can cover. I keep seeing how often Hoffman looks wounded and I think we almost do need cover for him.

I don't remember a game where he isn't hurt, the kent is a massive liability and I'm sick of him, yeah he's alright under the high ball but other than that he is absolute rubbish, absolute puss. He can't attack, support play is usually piss poor, one on one defense is the worst of all fullbacks, kick returns are pretty shit ATM and he makes costly errors frequently. I'm just going to straight out say it, I hate Hoffman, he is shit. I would take 15 other fullbacks in the NRL over him and maybe some wingers also.

Get the stupid bastard out of first grade and give Norman a chance there so Hunt can have a crack in the halves with Baptiste on the bench.

Hoffman isn't bad, he just isn't suiting our side at the moment. He was one of our best players when Lockyer was still playing and we didn't need as much help creating things.

We need Hunt and Wallace in the halves, look at the games where Hunt and Norman played together, they were great and Hoffman was still shit. We can have the best of both worlds with Hunt and Wallace in the halves and Norman at the back, it needs to happen, we'd gain that playmaking advantage all across the park, the halves improve and our fb attack improves by 100000%.

Play making still won't happen because you've left Wallace there

and geez you're harsh on Hoffman.

I'd certainly have him before Moltzen.......as one example.

Hoffman sums up the whole team. Strong in defence

weak in attack.

I'm finally starting to be critical of Wallace, I would still like to see him given a go with Hunt in the halves, we've all seen Wallace do some great things. And if he fails with Hunt then I think it's time to move on, but first and foremost we need to ditch the Hoff and chuck Norman at the back.

That's the same as saying Wallace sums up the whole team, strong in defense and weak in attack. Id rather ditch a fb who has looked out of place for the entire year then our halfback who has at least shown good form for the majority of games played.

I don't want to ditch Wallace........just have him come on from the bench.

Limit his involvement.

Hunt and Norman looked very good together against the Raiders earlier in the year.

We can't increase Hoffmans involvement though, it's nothing. Our best option is to immediately ditch the Hoff, he is a nobody. Our attack will look so much better distributed amongst our big three in Wal, Hunt and Norman than amongst Wal and Norman with Hoff being a massive passenger. Norman won't be so heavily relied upon either, big load of his shoulders and we'd get instant results.

Hey old mate...did the Hoff steal your girl or something ? The guy is first grade standard unless you feel Hook simply does not understand football. I watch the same games as you do I think but we do not appear to be poor in defence. We've had some great fullbacks and there are some great ones playing now. Maybe he just looks a bit pedestrian by comparison.

Next weeks match may be even tougher than we expected if the form the Titans have shown in the first half of the raiders game is any indication. I noticed Wallace , on the Bronco show gave Hoffman a rap for stopping Manu in the dying seconds of the Warriors match. He also pointed out that Hook told his players they deserved their jerseys in the Broncos, he just doesn't throw them around with little regard.

Can't discount how utterly shit the Raiders have played

Sezer is a big loss, one of the reasons that the Titans turned it around was his performance.
