POST GAME [Round 21, 2021] Knights vs Broncos

RE player stats

....minutes played would be handy to know?

Dummy half runs....really? Who gives a ****.....?

What exactly did Kennedy do wrong?

What exactly was your beef with Kennedy? He was only bettered by Haas in the stats. He did more work than other forwards. Cost a fraction. You were wrong about him and still can't admit it.
My beef is his playing ability. He had a purple patch of form where he looked like a below average first grader. I don't look at a blokes pay packet when judging a performance. He missed a couple of shocking tackles, silly penalty and made about 7m per run.
Given the defensive workloud our team was in, I would trade a slightly more sloppy defence for the extra attack he provided, he looked much more comfortable at the end of the game then Turpin ever looked, was surprised he was capable of a 80 min performance actually.
I'd like his extra attack for about 20-25mins per game off the bench. Which if rotated correcly would be more beneficial for the side.
Yep, saw that. Wrong footed the big unit was. Mind you, that was mid field wasn't it? I mean he played 40 minutes, all you can expect from a bench front rower, cheap too.
That was mid field? You mean the part of the field he specialises in playing?

"Oh yeah our prop misses simple tackles, but it's in the middle of the field so it doesn't matter. Did I mention how cheap he is?"

That would be a decent style of play to incorporate with Herbie, Albert and Oates.

Oates likes that straight line run back infield... and parra utilise it with Sivo

Teams are getting trickier with their edge plays where you'll often see the center being the decoy whilst the back rower slips out into the centers (Panthers do it with Kiks a fair bit)... we could do similar with Oates or Herbie being the decoy or option back infield whilst Glenn and Herbie shift out waiting for Albert to pick the pass.

Glenn doesnt have the attacking power that Kiks does, but the threat of Oates or Herbie back infield instead of Glenn on the stock standard block play could create things for us.

On the other side of the field Riki or TC slipping out behind Arthars could be a decent 1v1 option against opposition backs.
That’s the type of creativity the broncos haven’t shown since forever.

It seems to be the penchant of the modern RL fan......

The performance is judged by how much the player is getting paid......I don't agree with it. They should be judged by how they play, regardless of what they are being paid.

It should only come into it when discussing their contract. When picking the team or judging the performance, what they cost means jack shit.

Judging their performance based on expectation? I mean you get what you pay for, yes? So if you expect 500-800k bench forward playing 40 mins performances it would rightfully follow you'd have to pay for that. If you go in expecting what you paid for why would you be unhappy with that?

So, yes. What you paid for Kennedy easily matches REASONABLE expectation and I'd say easily exceeds expectations. Palasia missed 5 tackles, made less metres, made less tackles, in fact was beaten in every stat by Kennedy.

Just on performance Kennedy was only second to Haas on the night. Palasia, Glenn, Riki each missed 5 tackles. Kennedy made more metres missed less tackles. Didn't get bungled into touch on the first tackle hitup like Haas, a truly stupid mistake.

Forget price, Kennedy was solid.

The Bradman Best situation, he actually had every right to tackle Isaako. Isaako played at the ball so he became fair game then.

But holding onto a player for that long? I don't see how that's not a penalty.
It was a penalty.

Annersley won’t even mention it Monday

It was a penalty.

Everyday of the week
......if it was noninterference, how do they explain the countless "Shepards" / running behind the right shoulder (or whatever the **** it is) that whilst in no way would it have stopped the try, becomes a penalty against

because.

He might but it will be incoherent and babbling and no one will know what he is on about.
Babble babble blah blah but what about the head high tackles that took out Hymel and Brisbane need to lower their targets blah blah

He wasn't solid, he was bang average. You're using stats to deflect from what happened from his missed tackles. Kennedy let an easy line break through the middle cuz it looked like he was having a seizure at basic footwork. Kennedy missed out on the first 20mins where we were under the pump and he still comes out with 6m a hitup and missing tackles and giving away penalties.

I like how Kennedy has been going but agree, wasn’t a good game for him at all

**** Freddy - but agree with him here.

Blind Freddy! It's obvious that Kelly has battled injury and was brought of the bench because of match fitness issues. Now when Kevvie starts Kelly next week Freddy looks like a genius.

Yep , he's fine to complete the tackle but blatantly holding him back is bullshit.

I'm his biggest critic, and I've even admitted he has been way better than I thought he could be. But Huge thinks we have a budget Webcke on our books, and refuses to admit when he is useless.

A little bit too coherent to be honest but a good attempt.
