Referred straight to the judiciary.

5-6 weeks.
"Let's give him the same as cleary, that will send a clear message that we view tackles that cam break the weakest bone in the leg are just as dangerous as spinal cord injuries"

Hahahahha mate, wake up

If the mrc are going to start factoring in injuries they better have a neurologist and orthopaedic surgeon on the panel. If the injury plays into the suspension then better ask Alex McKinney if he would prefer a fibula fracture to his injury, because clearys tackles does that and people are asking for the same....

Forget about Carrigan, also forget about challenging an MRC decision logic never works, he needs a rest anyway his game load has been enormous.

What I would pick(assuming Walsh isn't coming liked rumored).

1. TMM
2. Oates
3. Staggs
4. Lee
5. Cobbo
6. Mam
7. Reynolds
8. Jenson
9. Walters
10. Haas
11. Capewell
12. Riki
13. Hetherington

14. Paix
15. Flegler
16. Palasia
17. Gamble

This is still dependant on Gamble not being injured, the club haven't given any info about it but it has limited Tyson to the Gym.

Martin has to be picked, expereince is needed there and aside from Injuries and a big drop off he should stay there for the rest of the season, I fully believe this year we can win and it will require TMM at the back for that to happen, we need calm heads in this team.

Also when Patty comes back keep him as a Prop at the expense of Palasia, have him and Payne start the game but reduce their minutes a tad to keep our intensity.

Wtf does the injury have to do with it? Have you ever played footy? There are 9 or 10 tackles a game like that. He doesn't slide down his legs at all, he pulls him down from the waist. That's LITERALLY what he did. So if that's the criteria then so be it. No more pulling people down above the waist to the ground?
And btw "broke his leg". The fibula is a bone in his leg, correct. But it's not the weight bearing bone of the shin/lower leg. People break it tripping over without actually landing on it. There was no tibia or syndesmosis, mcl/acl, meniscus injury with it tells you there wasn't much force in it considering his ankle and foot appeared FIXED
Trying to redefine a broken leg to suit your argument isnt going to work.

Well with Patty set for a NSWRL enforced holiday I think we'll be moving back to the Kobe / Gamble lock rotation, which may not be a bad thing.

8. Flegs
9. Billy
10. Haas
11. Capewell
12. Riki
13. Kobe

14. Paix
15. Jensen
16. Palasia (also covers second row injuries)
17. Gamble

I doubt Gamble has the cardio to play long minutes in the middle .
Last time he played middle he was gassed when he came off . Looked distressed with fatigue . Now having weeks out not playing I think he would struggle with the effort . As a middle he has to tackle repeatedly and run into the defence not just shovel it on . That mixes aerobic with anaerobic . He rarely takes on the line as a half . So less used to powering into and through tackles .

I think who Walters picks at fullback next game will tell us what he really thinks, even subconsciously, of our premiership chances this year.

TMM = thinks we are a real chance to win it this year

Niu = not a chance this year, wants him to improve still to give him 2 viable options for next year
Cobbo is a viable option too at fullback if he trains there during the off season.

I don't think it's the Cardio, it's the muscle fatigue playing in the middle doing the tackles, Halves generally do the most distance of anyone in the team if you look at the player tracker metrics it's dominated by each teams Halves.

That said the way Kevvie uses the 17 they barely get 10 minutes at current, what Tyson did there was far more work then what he has used other players in the 4th bench option, even reducing from 30 minutes to 20 minutes will be alot more then what he has used there.

Power and endurance was what I was trying to say . He might have endurance for half work . Lock he will get gassed from the power work .

I think Tesi has come on in leaps and bounds but I don’t think it would hurt to give him a bit of a rest after coming back from long term injury and give the #1 to TMM.
His composure outweighs Tesi’s speed at the moment and he might not score as many tries but he will set up plenty.
Have we all forgotten how concerned we were when TMM got injured but Tesi has done a great job in the meantime for a rookie with a couple of dozen games under his belt.
Tesi will be ready when we need him and chomping at the bit.
I’ m a massive Tyson fan just because of his mongrel but he hasn’t got what it takes to be an effective sub at lock.
we have some really important games coming up with Roosters, Storm, and Eels amongst them. We need to give TMM some game time and make sure everyone is firing for the finals.
We need to get our defense back how it was earlier in the season if we are serious.

The fullback situation is an interesting one. I dont think both are great under the high ball, but i dont think TMM leaves it as much as Tesi does. Tesi individually in attack is better. but in terms of all round fullback play i think TMM is better for the team.
Tesi is individually better in attack but TMM makes his outside men better players in attack

I'm definitely in the TMM boat, we have a young team - composure is more important than moments of individual brilliance.

When we had TMM was when we looked the most dominant.

Last week is an example of why I think we need gamble in the 17 jumper. Playing palasia for 10 minutes offers very little.

Gamble adds maturity but also brings energy which we really need if things are not going our way. He would also provide half quality ball play in the middle of the field.

He is also an organising half if Reynolds goes down.

Unfortunately, in my view his deficiencies currently outweigh the benefits of some aspects of his attack. He needs some time back in Q-Cup with specific directions on the things he has to work on.

Well send Staggs and Mam with him .
They made as many if not more mistakes .

The ability to show up consistently to every game and not drop games to poor teams is a big element of being a top 4 side and it seems maybe we're just maybe a whisker away from being at that level this year.

However, our destiny is still in our hands (since we play Storm and Eels to finish the year), so we should still have our sights firmly set on finishing the season as strongly as we can and hoping its enough to slip into 4th.

If we lose to the Roosters this week, then we will go from in the hunt for a top 4 spot, to flat out battling to make the 8... that's how little there is in it this year with the big logjam of teams just below us - This game is really critical.

Is 2022 going to be a season where we overachieved, got hot in the middle of the year and then came crashing down to earth down the stretch to only just scrape into the 8?

or

Is it going to be a season we really announced ourselves as genuine contenders and laid the foundations for a serious top 4 / premiership run next season?

This game is going to be instrumental in determining the story of our season. We need to be out for blood after being embarrassed by a reserve grade level team last week and put the Roosters to the sword to get back on track for our run into year end.

Do the boys want it enough or are they battered, exhausted and merely content with no longer being cellar-dwellers?

I hate the god damn cheating, entitled, whinging, pathetic Roosters and I want to see us destroy them... really hoping we see a big turnaround.

PS. how are the Rorters currently favourites??
