I saw this coming or at least close to it. The good news is, this was our game after the bye where we had 5 days off. Remember we did the same in 2006 and eventually came good.

Worrying about Payne though.
Trouble is we just kissed top 4 good bye and you don’t win from outside.
I was also thinking of 2006 tho when I heard Madge did that.

Credit where it’s due.. Parra played well. Moses put on a masterclass.

But we created (and then subsequently blew through sheer laziness) enough opportunities to win that game… that’s the part that’s more frustrating than anything.

The late Staggs break with Arthars nowhere to be seen and zero other support was the moment we should have won it.

Reece is an easy target after the errors he made tonight. When he’s not playing we complain we are playing bad because his not there and need him back , when he has a bad game some of you want him out of the team completely.
He has too many bad games, that is what upsets everyone and that is why he isn’t playing for Qld…

There was plenty of stuff ups all over the park from us.

They caught up to us in the end.

Deadset the boys haven’t recovered from the bye hangover. Time and again proven that we turn up soft after a bye.
This is the time of the season majority of the teams play with their intensity irrespective of ladder position. We MUST too.

Pissed, disappointed & angry for the way they turned up.

As good as Xman is, he is best used from bench. As good as Corey is, he’s best if started & not from bench. The entire dynamics of how we play change if Corey starts.

Walshy’s errors resulted in 2 opponents tries. It seems like whenever he plays and thinks, it results in errors and free ball to opponents. On the contrary, if he thinks and plays, that’s when he’s dangerous. He absolutely must think first and play. Less rocks & more diamonds man.

As expected, Todd Smith didn’t disappointed. Fcuk you redhead.

The people bashing Walsh, he was the only **** out there trying to create something.

Reynolds was shit. Ezra was a ghost. Hunt wasn’t effective in the least.

He can’t do it all on his own.
Reece continual attack of their left with high risk, no look passes cost us. Two tries scored against us because of Walsh. Looked very uncomfortable at all times in kick returns.

He would have been better to be patient, and sniff around the ruck in support. Billy could really have used Walsh tonight in that capacity, since Mam was a no show. Walsh should play smarter.

We need another solid winger / fullback in our squad.

We need to be able to drop Walsh or even hook him mid game when he plays like that.
Atrocious opinion. Walsh will literally win us games through sole playmaking and is broncos football atm. He didn’t even have that bad of a game a lot of the passes he thrown were actually fine but dropped cold. The reason we loss was actually because we didn’t dominate the middle as much as we normally do, Moses was pinning us down the field with his good boot and we were struggling to find the big metres we normally get from haas and willison. When you lose the metre battle it tends to put scoreboard pressure and force lateral movement from the backs to make metres which can force errors.

I always get nervous when we go on a winning streak. After 5 in a row you knew a loss was coming at some stage.

The whole team felt pretty flat and like many have said, didn't get out of second gear. If you're looking for a positive, it didn't feel like the losses we had earlier in the season when we were downright dreadful. Eels were solid and we just didn't look comfortable all game.

Despite that, we only lost by 2 points. You just have to hope that loss sparks something in them because dropping out of the 8 is still a very real possibility.

Walsh deserves the criticism. Not because we want him dropped, but because we all want to see him fulfill his potential and be great. He’s too gifted to be another Ben Barba or Krisnan Inu.

He needs to take the next step in his game and he’s not. If anything he’s going backwards.

Pointing out that he was poor doesn’t mean he should lose his spot - he shouldn’t. This team is nothing without him and if he is fit, he should be the fullback of this team, but he also needs to be better and work on the weak elements of his game.
