Good outweighs a small error that I have seen even the best of fullbacks make at times, he also immediately corrected this and was rushing up from every short bomb that Moses kicked afterwards.

People have short memories and don’t remember how utterly rubbish we were with Walsh out

Todd should be dropped for the rest of the year after that effort. That penalty being turned into a six again likely lost us the game - we lost the chance to level up with a penalty kick and then lost all momentum we would’ve had if he had waved the six again immediately. There’s no way that a ref should be able to correct a penalty like that once they’ve awarded it, it’s just totally amateurish, but I suppose that’s the standard of officiating in the nrl these days.

Arthars was our worst player on the field imo. I’d be dropping him for Mariner next week. Xavier back to the bench, too.
Offside after a linebreak to stop a try... calls a penalty, which would also mean a professional foul.. overturns himself and turns it into a 6 again and the slowest ptb in history.

We got zero off the linebreak and parra were allowed to stop a try by being offside... all our momentum killed and we drop the ball two plays later

Broncos won't win shit until they realise that cheaters win in NRL

The refereeing just gets worse over the course of the season until we reach the finals where they put away the whistle entirely and teams like the Storm, rorters (whenever they’re in the finals with an all star team that’s somehow under the cap), and riff take the piss with offsides and the ruck. It’s so predictable

Canberra and Wahs have entered that discussion as well.

They're both always offside on their goal line and eventually the ref stops calling it.

What a missed opportunity if Titans go on and beat the warriors

We can only win the comp if we make top 4, this inconsistent squad isn’t winning 4 in a row

Where will we find a solid nrl fullback to replace Walsh
You’re right, in the entire player market, there is no-one at all who would ever consider leaving their current club…

I’m sure Simon Scanlan just sits at his desk all day and doom scrolls…

🤷‍♂️

The doom and gloom is a bit over the top.

We went away from what worked for us the past 5 games. We didn't do a lot wrong last night when you look at the stats, we just panicked a bit and didn't trust the gameplan. Didn't help the wingers kept jamming in.

Anyone that's bothered watching the Eels the past few weeks would know they aren't the same side that ended up at the bottom of the ladder. They gave it to the Raiders in Canberra last week, but they lacked what Moses brings and lost their way in the last 10 minutes. With Moses in the side, they're a top 8 side and they performed like that last night.

We lacked some impact off the bench because of Willison starting, so putting him back to the bench will help.

Reyno and Ezra needed to do more, as well.

If we go back to what was working for us prior to tonight, we'll be fine.
We’re just seeing the same thing we have seen for years now.

Bit of a run mid-season, solid top 8 position.

Come out the other side of origin disinterested and unwilling to put in like actual professionals and losing as a result.

I sincerely hope last night was a one off, but history suggests otherwise with our club…

Addo-Carr also blatantly pulled Staggs arm while being offside late in the game that would have given us a shot at goal and should have had him in the bin for 10 and it was play on. It couldn't have been more blatant. Staggs need to be in Addo-Carr's face after that rubbish because that would get us the penalty and binning.

We lost the game because our attack was impotent. There wasn't much between us in discipline or errors.

I'm not blaming Hunt, but he's not bringing enough for a marquee signing.

Skimming the thread and it appears everyone is just blaming Walsh?

When is Reynolds going to be slammed for always going missing when he is needed. Reynolds is captain and leader, and he's allowing Walsh to play halfback and be first choice kicker. Sorry, but if he is going to allow that, he might as well not be in the team anymore.

Wah wahs opened the door for us and we tripped over. Oh well, silver lining we don't have the most embarrassing loss this round.

Shut the gate , the horse has bolted !

Disappointing loss for sure.
But we were one play off a win.
One foot...
Or if Shiba had caught the ball a couple of minutes earlier.
The penalty/6 again debacle is why the rule should never have been brought in and the coaches should have made a united front at the time. Teams will give away a 6 again (if the ref calls it) when trailing by 2 and in kickable range and it has happened in multiple games and cost multiple teams. It is an idiotic rule.
That said, you could see that Arthars was underdone, Haas playing hurt and Patty/Willison/Piakura/Staggs just a little off.
I don't know what the go is with Reyno?
Walsh really has to spend some time in the video room and learn some control. He has had plenty of time to find a balance in his game and it's all good to be a showman and score/setup great tries. But sometimes just take the tackle!
Credit to Parra, well played and took their opportunities and rode their luck.
Broncs can lick their wounds and come out stronger, knock off Storm twice and be roaring into the finals.
Or we capitulate like 22 and 24....
