i really don't know we're we are going to find the ability to create tries in the space of a week.

i'm actually worried about this game. it might be the first week the eels have a new coach?

That sounds like just giving up on the season. It's never too late.

I just don't think moving Norman to 6 now is the answer, you have to give him the full year there - no matter what. IMO.

If we are serious about this year in ANY shape or form - we have to go out against the Eels and really give it to them. If we can't do that then it just shows our mental attitude fading away at the business end of the season IMO.

If Hoffman, Hodges, Te'o and Parker are all out...

1. Gerard Beale
2. Lachlan Maranta
3. Alex Glenn
4. Aaron Whitchurch
5. Nathaniel Barnes
6. Corey Norman
7. Peter Wallace
8. Ben Hannant
9. Andrew McCullough
10. Petero Civoniceiva
11. Dunamis Lui
12. Sam Thaiday
13. Matt Gillett

14. Ben Hunt
15. Brendon Gibb
16. Josh McGuire
17. Mitchell Dodds

*shivers*

Shivers indeed Pete. :scared:

Swap Ben Hunt and Peter Wallace around and to hell with it .......Bring it on Eels!!

I'm assuming you mean "away from 6" or "Hunt to 6". This is like when Michaels was playing like turd in 09, but they kept persisting with him. Eventually he was dropped. If Norman has what it takes, he needs to show it in QLD Cup. You can't just keep giving a player who has been playing FAR from FG standard chances, hoping he'll improve.

I would like to see them drop Norman to Q Cup for a few weeks at least. He needs to learn how to run a backline.
But, I can't see Hook doing that. So we're stuck with him. I hope they get him to lift his game.

Eels just rolled the Storm... Their defence was excellent. Might not be such an easy game next week...

Haven't watched it yet, looking at the stats it hard to believe they managed to win. Scoreboard is seriously the only thing they won. 18 errors is pretty bad also.

I was flicking between it and the Reds so I didn't catch much of the first half. I watched the end after Reds were sure to lose.

Storm actually had a very similar problem to us. Plenty of sets on the line, but nothing clicking to get a try.

I've seen a couple of storm games recently. Geez Billy Slater has made Cronk look good... He is actually very similar to Wallace and it shows just how much a brilliant attacking fullback can bring to a team.

He is actually very similar to Wallace

Pushing it lol. Cronk usually knows what he's going to do in advance, Wallace runs around like a headless chook.

Cronk is like Wallace in that he is currently struggling with having to do it all himself. Kostjasyn simply isn't doing anything, like Norman.
He is still miles better though. Like Vertigo said, he doesn't go completely crazy under pressure also.

This is a little off topic lol.

Cronk is certainly better, not saying that. Without his pet plays with Slater, he is looking a lot less lethal and is playing a similar brand to Wallace.

Anyway, as you said, off topic. Let's get our attack together and smash the eels please.

Liking these sides with Norman in the centres or dropped and Hunt playing at 5/8.

Read an article not long ago saying Hunt was still in the race for the 6.

Psssh, no Slater for the Slater plus coach sacking bounce back only gives them one game.

5. Lachlan Maranta
6. Corey Norman

*Pending judiciary
**Pending injury

Jack Reed is also a chance of an early return.

Te'o likely facing a week with suspension, Hodges out for at least 3 weeks and Copley is still a month away.

Next 2 weeks are important.

Win both and we'll be secure.

Lose even one, and things begin to look slippery.

Eels game doesn't worry me so much but the Raiders game certainly does. Our record in Canberra is pretty dodgy.

Any diagnoses on Hayne? Was it just cramp?
