The ****. When did Ryan James replace Palasia on the bench?

I don’t hate it. Our middle has been soft the last few weeks. They might be trying to replace Patty’s talk

We already have two props on the bench. Would rather Gamble or Robati, if either are fit. And if we're to give Piakura, Hosking or Willison another game this season, this would be it. Maybe this being the easiest (watch this space) game left in the season, Kevvie is giving James a sendoff. He talks him up a lot.

This would be purely because ryan James has a pass that palasia does not. He's a better link man while kobe is off the field.

Well , James might well be a more effective defender ?
And the talk could be what got him the job .
And while Palasia is a willing worker he doesn`t make big yards or get quick PTBs .

Palasia is a funny one . Some games he has featured , others he got 5- 10 off the bench . Def a middle , misses tackles on the edge .

Re Brenko

Late Mail: Brenko Lee (hamstring tightness) is out according to Brisbane-based rugby league reporter Ben Dobbin, with Delouise Hoeter the man to come into the team and replace him.

I like that better than another calf strain .

Or it needs to be. If we don't win convincingly we might not even make the eight.
A win will certainly clinch a playoff spot. No team in history has missed out (top 8 format) with a 13-11 record. I don't know what to expect tonight. If they are as loose defensively and as pedestrian in attack as last week then they are very capable of getting their pants pulled down. I don't expect any performance tonight indicating that they are a title threat but I expect them to do enough against this very impotent Newcastle side. Broncos by 10 and securing a finals spot for the first time since 2019. It's pretty exciting IMO.

If you don’t mind me paraphrasing: just win ffs!

I demand a repeat of the Manly game. Go hard from kickoff and don't let up for the full 80. Get some enjoyment back again and remember how to win.
Yeah haven’t seen the boys belt out the team song in a while.

Palasia hadn’t been the same since he was benched for Jensen. Hope he comes good soon

Looking at the predictor on current form, depending on how other results go the best we can hope for is 7th, or as high as 5th if the Rorters and Rabbits go off the boil (I can't see it personally. Both sides have timed their run well).

One thing is for sure though, losing tonight would be borderline disastrous for our top 8 hopes. The loss to the tiggers has all but cost us a home final.
