Look at Finch fire up again and check the last 10 seconds. Seems Finch admits he's still on the payroll. The dickhead gets all fired up to "defend" the Storm while not clearly stating his bias. He's a paid employee of the club, he abso-fucking-lutely should not be defending them in such matters without clearly stating he's affiliated. It's not really about whether any of us care, these guys have a broad reach where people may not pay attention who is affiliated with who. It's obvious when someone like Lockyer speaks that he's a Bronco or Hindmarsh is an Eel, but guys like Finch don't obviously go for a team and they pretend to be neutral.
