Like a lot of Broncos fans I've come to the sobering conclusion that the season for all intents and purposes is officially over. While I'll follow their next three games and support them on, they're mere consolation prizes as far as I'm concerned so now I'm in Mad Monday mode which basically comprises of wearing straw hats, hawain shirts, drinking out of conconuts and basically acting like I live in West End all day.

Looking forward to the Dogs v Eels game. Classic 80s rivalry right there - it's like TMNT v Shredder, He-Man v Skeletor & Super Mario v King Koopa. Seems like the Dogs have thrown in the towel but this maybe one of those games where they get a sniff and the Eels may make life hard on themselves.

Personally, I'm pulling for the Eels. I like their style of play, plenty of shape and quality players playing important roles but I get the sense they maybe lulled into a false sense of security. The cat is out of the bag right now as far as the Bulldogs are concerned, they're the out of form side of the competition and with the Eels barely being able to beat the other contenders for that crown last week...I think/hope we see the same thing tonight.

You guys better back up tomorrow afternoon for the hoodoo game!!

Same. I don't actually think they'll take this game lightly at all, mainly due to the massive rivalry you mentioned. They'll want to put a score on the Dogs IMO.

If the odds are right, I'll have a little something on the Dogs to cause an upset. Purely based on their coach. If they can't win this week, or at least be competitive, there's a real issue at that club.

That was good lead up work from Brown and Lafai for the Eastwood try.

Dogs have been the better team thus far, will be answering to see how they go once Parra get some ball.

Who else but Hayne, almost identical to Inglis from last night.

And they take it.

Hayne is a class above. Love that him, GI and Slater are hitting form at the right time.

Eels forwards digging in now, not bad for a bunch of no names.

That was Corey Thompson's penalty right there.

I echo Gus' thoughts on him. Was sceptical when they named him on the wing but he plays well above his weight. Would be in my rookie 13 for sure.

And the backs let them down, terrible defence.

Mitch Brown scores easily. Pretty soft try there

Great set up work from Lafai there.

Crap defence from Moera there.

Ennis didn't even have to rush that, easy pass.

Eels getting mauled by the Dogs big pack

The fact we have the best F/A of any team outside the 8 is pretty telling about our attitude in shutting out games.
