POST GAME [Round 24, 2023] Broncos vs Eels

The more I watch this replay (and I've watched it quite a bit), I have to say, I really do think Mariner should keep his wing spot. He has game breaker written all over him while being safe as houses. I know Oates is a legend, he really is but he will also be very, very underdone.

This kid just has so much JYY written all over him, I'd be sticking with him and yes, this would be incredibly unfair on Arthars on Oates but we are legit gunning for a premiership here, no room to be sentimental.

You wouldn't have to look too hard for comments based around him not playing that well.

I've probably got a couple in there.

His form was off...he was making crucial errors. In a side that was performing well, he was a weak link.

Capewell has to be on his game to be of value ....like his form of late. The older he gets though, the less on time he will have.

I'd be clipping him after next year.

I think you're forgetting what Oates can bring..... I'm not saying you're off your jead but

I have no doubt that Oates will get the job done for us.

My worry with Oates is that when he came back from injury earlier in the year he looked comically slow and didn't seem like he had any lateral movement...he was still a beast to tackle though

Honestly it's almost at the point opposition teams know it's coming but are powerless to stop it...

I think the big test will be against Melbourne, who you would expect have a game plan (better the the teams we've recently played) to shut some of our plays down.
