They can't develop combinations if they have to play TWO FUCKING POSITIONS CONSTANTLY IN THE ONE GAME!!! Hodges playing fullback & centre. Copley playing wing & centre. Maranta playing fullback & wing.

The long term future of this fucking team, with the current roster plus Milford (who is the ONLY confirmed backline purchase of note) has Reed & Copley in the centres. LEAVE THEM FUCKING THERE, ESPECIALLY FUCKING COPLEY.

Because that is actually full retard. Again, Oates was a try scoring machine on the wing last year but has been moved to the bench and gets 5-10 minutes a game. Our other fullback options have no play making ability either. Maranta, Hoffman, Hodges.. Oates is fast, strong, huge, can catch a high ball, can defend. Yeah I get that he wouldn't be seen as an option normally, but I felt as though if he was given a shot there he would do well. Physically he is of the Inglis, Hayne mould and it would help us fit our best 17 on the park.

Hodges has no playmaking ability? Really?

Oates scored a bunch of tries that any winger aside from visit and maranta would have scored. Simmons is a try scoring machine, so is radradra and Copley etc etc etc lets put them all at fullback

I wouldn't mind Griffin working at Maccas. If he's true to form he will bulk up every burger and they'll all be bigger than they should be.

Copley to right wing is a bad call imo.

Gagai has the tackling ability of a teenager. Give the ball to Copley on the left with room to move and he will score tries.

I don't care that marantas named at fullback.

Copley to the wing is fucking stupid. He is the most in form centre we have. It's not about how many tries he scores, this isn't supercoach. The point is he makes so many line breaks for us at centre, he needs to keep developing in one position instead of chopping and changing and he is pretty rubbish under he high ball

All things that point to him being moved back to the wing as a fucking shit idea

My main issue with the team is moving Copley out of the centres and it could point to players having to manage swapping positions throughout the game depending on if we have the ball or not. I'm not a fan of musical chairs during the game.

Honestly i doubt it matters what team Griffin named today ... he could have named the team everyone wanted (although thats hard since so people wanted heaps of different things ... including Oates at full back, lol) people still would have complained about it, since it is Griffin naming the team.

Thankfully Griffin is gone next year, so now we can look forward to 2015, and seeing similar selection decisions being made

No and I strongly believe that's what is going to happen. In defence they will defend as named but just attack like you said.

I'd like to give Oates a shot at fullback. He is built similar to Inglis and has proven that he is good under the high ball.

Don't let any mocking bother you. There is absolutely no problem with Oates at fullback but as I repeatedly wrote last year I would prefer him at centre or failing that ,back out on the wing. Oates could handle fullback but it's a position that takes some time to learn and he may have to drop a few kilos as well to assist his mobility. The mockers once outnumbered me 50 to 1 about an issue but I stuck to my guns and ultimately was proven 100% correct.
