I wish I had a dollar for everytime someone called Griffin a good coach.

Oh wait, I do!

I wish I had a dollar for every time a discussion went off topic.

I would be able to buy the Broncos.

 Thanks for the laughs guys.

Not the line-up I would have gone with, but what I assume will happen is that the line-up will change in offence with Hodges shifting to fullback, Maranta to wing and Copley to right centre.

Let us assume Maranta is at fullback in defense and Hodges moves to fullback in attack.

That could mean Maranta moves to wing, Copley moves to centre, Hodges moves to fullback.

thought this was pretty obvious but it seems people on here are losing their minds.. lol.

it makes sense. hodges i doubt would cope with covering up work required for fb.

it will be best for us in attack allowing him to ball play either side of the ruck.

settle down everyone, ffs.

Well I will stick my neck out on here and nominate fullback as Marantas best position. Looking forward to seeing him there as he normally backs up offloads through the middle.
Copley should be at left centre though

Don't let any mocking bother you. There is absolutely no problem with Oates at fullback but as I repeatedly wrote last year I would prefer him at centre or failing that ,back out on the wing. Oates could handle fullback but it's a position that takes some time to learn and he may have to drop a few kilos as well to assist his mobility. The mockers once outnumbered me 50 to 1 about an issue but I stuck to my guns and ultimately was proven 100% correct.
Oates on the wing or the centres is one thing, though he was great attacking wise defensively last season. Oates was caught out with his positional placement, something a fullback can't afford, even a more experienced fullback like barba this season was caught out from it, to throw Oates with no nrl grade exp there and assuming little lower grade if any is a big ask, he might be sized like hodges and inglis but both those players have played a lot of football there at different grades of the game.

I have no issues with Maranta at FB, and I'm sure it is driven by the Knights good kicking game and the potential for bombs raining on our backline, but then why put Copley on the wing to catch said bombs? Besides, him losing his left centre spot to Reed does my head in. Does Hook have his eyes painted on FFS?

The weekend results were kind to us, so I hope the dancing chairs between Hodgo, Copley and Maranta works out.

Is Gagai currently playing left or right centre at the Knights?

Porthoz Gagai plays on the right.

Cheers BP. Another reason to keep Copley on the left centre position...

Assuming Copley is opposite Gagai, I wonder if he was moved from left center due to his defense (which can be fixed IMO), in an attempt to prevent Gagai from exploiting it.

Only problem with that theory is that it also prevents Copley from exploiting Gagai's suspect defense

At least the bench looks a bit more fair-dinkum.

A lot more grunt there than we're used to.

Gagai has shown it doesn't matter who he goes up against, he can trouble anyone when he is on his game.

I would prefer the focus be on taking advantage of his crap defense.

I didn't say I agreed with the move, because I don't ...

But it could be the reason behind Griffins thinking, right or wrong.

There is a reason he was sacked you know

That's the exact same reason I'm bewildered. Maranta at FB isn't the worst thing ever. But Copley on the wing is idiotic. Both in defence and attack. Our safest under the high ball would be Maranta, Reed, and arguably Vidot. So why does Reed have to displace Copley in the centres? Put him on the wing. It's not like Hodges needs to be at fullback to roam, so why bother fucking shuffling them around? Hodges & Copley centres. Maranta, Vidot Reed as back three. And LEAVE THEM THERE.

That's a huge problem if it's true. He has feet for hands.
