Round 24 Discussion

The Roosters support play and passing game is a joy to watch, real football. Makes our bash and barge attack look prehistoric. We will never trouble the top 4 sides as we won't be able to score points
 
Great work Sydney, first the difficult take by Manu followed by an electric 30m run from Morris which draws the penalty.

Sydney go through back on the inside, Butcher surges towards the line, but the ball slips out of his grasp and Penrith hang on.
 
There it is, Latrell runs onto the pass takes advantage of Burns' inexperience to extend the Roosters lead. That try has felt inevitable all evening.

A couple of injury concerns here. Both Taukeiaho and Morris appear to be struggling, Kikau is off the field as well.

Mitchell's conversion goes wide, that's a nervous lead.
 
I still feel like Roosters are going to explode in the finals, all over Cam's face again.
 
There's the penalty goal to take the edge off that nervous 10 point lead.

It would have been interesting if Perenara had have played advantage. Angus came up with a fantastic play the ball and Penrith looked sparse around the ruck.

Penrith didn't look like getting out of their own half until that horrid kick. Now Keary with a bad penalty taking out the bloke without the football and Penrith have a golden opportunity to get into this game.
 
Campbell-GIllard goes close but he can't extend the arms, the ball rotates on the ground and it's called back for a knock on.

That could be the Panthers season right then and there.
 
40/20 from Maloney, didn't look great off the boot but it found it's mark and Penrith have one last crack to try and keep their season alive.
 
Penrith try to go wide but Edwards makes a meal of a pass and it goes behind S. Crichton who puts it down.

8 minutes left, Penrith need to keep the football down here.
 
S. Crichton earns his side a penalty. Penrith try to attack the Roosters left side but they cannot get the ball past Martin. Leota tries to keep the ball alive but it's swooped upon by Manu. Maloney gives away a penalty and Sydney with 5 to go are deep on attack. Will they go for the field goal?
 
Roosters have appeared a bit clunky from what I have seen of the game. They are going to miss Cronk next year.
 
Keary on the last gives the ball to Mitchell who draws in the defence before smoothly handing it onto Tupou and he finishes it off.

Classy stuff from Mitchell and that's the Panthers season.
 
As much as you dislike a player you don’t try to fight them mid game. Just completely piss weak
