it's virtually a finals playoff for the Kniggots. and a home match. They will be pumped. MacDougal & Uate will see a lot of ball i would think, and Gidley will try every freak play he can think of - hard to defend against that. A great test for our defence and attack.

I feel like Lockyer and Hodges (especially Hodges) don't get enough of the blame defensively. I think more often than not it's their fault, and not the wingers when we get caught out.
I mean I love those guys, especially Locky, but defensively they are arguably the weakest point of our side.

Interesting stat...if the Broncos manage to win their last 3 games they'll have an 18-6 record, which is their best record since 2000 (18-2-6). Only seasons where the Broncos have lost less than 6 games are 1990 (16-1-5), 1992 (18-4), 1995 (17-5), 1996 (17-4), 1997 (14-1-3) and 1998 (18-1-5).

Shows just how dominant those 1990s teams were, hey?

While this year's Broncos may come close to matching some of those previous club win/loss records the real sign of the times imo is the for and against comparison.

Without even looking at the ladders from those seasons back in the 90's and the 2000 season I would bet London to brick that the Broncos finished with for and against differentials of at least 220 points 'in the black' .. Back then if the Broncos didn't beat all bar the top sides by 20+ points it was considered an indifferent performance .. Nowadays "pretty" for and against records just don't exist (although Melbourne has managed a nice buffer this season) as almost every team in the comp has to fight tooth and nail to beat any other team in the comp.

I've got to say the real worry for us is our record against fellow top 4 and 8 teams. We have a very, very poor success rate against that lot.

I think we have beaten them all except Melb and Manly, so it's not very poor, just sayin

The stats were in the paper the other week. We were the worst of the top 4 teams, the Tigers were also above us.

The stats were in the paper the other week. We were the worst of the top 4 teams, the Tigers were also above us.

Since then we've beaten the Warriors (top 8) and Cowboys (top 4), so our stats have improved remarkably.

If it's just going on this season we're not too bad.

Lost to Storm (twice)
Lost to Manly (once)
Lost to Cowboys (once)
Beat Cowboys (once)
Beat Dragons
Beat Tigers
Beat Warriors
Beat Knights

So won 5, lost 4 - and 2 of those 4 we rested our rep players (Storm in Brisbane, Manly), and the loss to the Cowboys was round 1 and by just 2 points, without Hodges and Hannant IIRC.

I think our record against other finalists is pretty good so far.

No Criticism allowed?

Criticism is always allowed, and should be expected.

However, if you're going to do so ... it'd be wise to make sure the facts that you present are right, otherwise you're in for a bagging

Just sayin'

More importantly, just because people disagree with the criticism doesn't mean criticism isn't allowed. It's just a counter opinion.

Hannant/Yow Yeh have been training well and might be shock inclusions to the side to play this match (on FoxSportsNews)

Would it be worth resting them for one more week to make sure they're ok for the game against Souths?

Yep, It would be worth it imo.

The more experience Copely gets the better, Never know what happens and we might need him in the finals.
