Obviously, no one really cares but these are the teamlists from NRL.com:

Interesting there are also no forwards in the reserves, so we must be clearly all out of them with Bullemor starting and both Paix and Mead on the bench.
Oates possibly being cover for the forwards with mead on the bench

Happy with the team list considering the lack of depth.

Glad to see Bully gets the nod over Kennedy who has regressed to primordial ooze recently. Hope he’s the next off to England a year early.

Also hope that Meads presence will see him come on at some point and give Cobbo (or farnworth) a run at fullback.

Keen to see Paix get a run again too.

I'd like to see either get a run at 1 but I reckon Mead might be there with the chance of Oates going into the forwards if needed

Asiata
Te'o
Kennar?
Haas.

Haas yes but the others were named, so didn't factor them in. Will be interesting to see what happens with Haas. Losing him would suck but I am not as doom and gloom if he goes as others are, especially if we get Tino instead.

I tend to agree. Just being hopeful.

I was only joking with Haas. I am sure he'll be around for years but they'll have to renegotiate his current contract. That's a given.

Pretty sure it would also have been the first 20/40 since it was introduced to the game...but no.

We must be out of forwards. That's concerning. Surprised the Knights aren't resting Ponga, wish they were (though I guess there's still time). Hoping to win but not expecting it.

Hope Ponga gets injured now... NSWRL has assured them a finals spot with the reffing over the last 4 weeks... would be fucking hilarious if the reason they want them there (i.e. Ponga) gets injured in a nothing game and knights get knocked out in week 1.

Bullemor starting over Kennedy is the right call

Kennedy for me looks like making an error with every carry and looks like collecting a bloke high with every tackle. I know Bullemor made an error himself last week but I think we can all agree over the course of the year he's been pretty good for us

Newcastle will get knocked out regardless as they are woeful. It's amazing that you can finish 7th in this comp and have +/- of -130. Btw, don't wish injury on a player. You are a better fan (and poster) than that.

Have never been convinced Herbie is anything other than a winger, but nothing wrong with being a good winger.
He's a passable winger. He's nowhere near the Yow-Yeh, Sailor, Tuquiri, Hancock, Carne, Tate or pre-Seibold Oates class. He's fast, energetic, can break tackles, and doesn't tend to make stupid mistakes, but his ball skills are below average for a back, and he doesn't have that x-factor like the aforenamed wingers.

I'd work on his ball skills all off-season, and let him fight for the spot. It's a bit of a 50-50 call against Isaako. Herbie's defence is probably better. Jamayne does have that x-factor, but he's also a bumbling klutz who routinely shits the bed.

It was more tongue in cheek re: injury ... like a rolled ankle so he ends up sitting out the one finals game knights get before they are bundled out by parra or roosters.

It was probably also a bit of me being pissed off at the team lists to see us barely being able to put a team forward, whilst knights name a near full strength team in a redundant game and the thinking that karma would be warranted back on the knights for taking that big of a risk on a completely meaningless game for them.

Re their chances in the finals... they are definitely woeful (they probably named full strength to try and build some confidence vs a depleted broncos), but parra is also rubbish and roosters are finally running out of troops. Out of the two I think roosters can handle them easily.

Parra should handle them as well, but they'd give a slightly better chance to knights.

If they did end up going to week 2 they'd be staring down the barrel of a cricket score.

Also it's a joke that there are only 6 teams with a positive for and against... I suppose Vlando will stick with his tried and true comment of "just get better"
