I haven't rewatched it, was a defender touching him?
Yep.

So we’re all sorted in the Hooking department for next season then? That was not a poor performance by any stretch from walters. He one of the best on ground tonight.
I can't agree with it, the Flegler one especially was the Hetherington situation all over again where a player gets absolutely folded and drastically changes his body position. I could accept a penalty, but a sin-bin in that situation is a joke.
Just like the Hetherington send off was a joke last year.
At least the MRC had enough common sense not to charge either of them.
They really need to review it.I get it, but the stance has been that there are zero extenuating circumstances that can be used as an excuse. Incidental contact is still a penalty. Incidental contact with force is a binning.
Unless you play for a certain club of course.
Well we aren't but I don't know who they get. They don't have the cap space for a decent one and to be fair on billy, we get our moneys worth out of his minimum wage deal...So we’re all sorted in the Hooking department for next season then?
I do agree that Walters has been ok this season, and probably our best option at nine atm, but that just highlights the issues we have at hooker.
He makes a massive difference, he's more important to the team then Kotoni.Maybe your mate Herbs is the real glue of the team.
So basically we should have lost 24-0Yep.

After our best win against the eels something went sour. Teams usually build off that type of win but we fell off a cliff.Literally like a switch was flicked.
Last year we built and there was some real green shoots towards the end of the year. This year we had a rough start but built into the season and finally were seeing some confidence. So, what happened. We can all see something has - you don't forget how to play a game you've been playing your entire life, in a week. You don't suddenly forget the structures and plays which have been working for you all season. You don't suddenly forget how to fucking tackle.
Something went wrong, and the club has to be aware of what that is. It has to be sorted immediately before pre-season.

Both Blokes a off field incident is always on the cards for them.. both have form and on their last chance with the club you'd think.Lets just speculate for a moment, that the "bad eggs" within the squad are exactly who we think they are. One of them is a simple enough solution, he wants out so let him go (but don't fucking dare cover any of his contract). The other however is a problem. He's signed for another 3 years. If he really wants to intentionally stink it up and sow disorder in the playing group, we have no choice but to dump him to reggies for the rest of his deal.
Once again, more wasted cap space because of piss poor attitude. How hard is it to get a figurehead within the coaching staff who is simply there to rope these wankers massive egos in? Does Gordon Ramsey follow League by any chance?
Unless you're playing outside him. Oates' try scoring rampage went up another gear after Herbie got injured. He scored 4 doubles in five games immediately after Herbie went out.He makes a massive difference, he's more important to the team then Kotoni.
As this thread is focused on the last game I'm just going to comment about it in isolation.
I believe KW just doesn't support the notion that forwards, especially front rowers if selected should be fully utilised.
I'm gobsmacked by the sheer madness of leaving a prop ( any bench prop ) sitting idly by for almost the entire game.
Eight minutes in to the game we lose Flegler. That straight away tells you that our remaining four forwards have to do extra to cover. Essentially it's now five on four.
I've always seen the game as starting with the forward battle and we were now undermanned. To me it means I now really need the bench forwards to put in a bit longer and my starting prop, Haas not as long a stint.
Haas has always been played too long but it became critical to spell him, not extend his time to cover the extra workload!!
I think that KW butchered the run home. Round 20 onwards was terrible after we won, somewhat against expectation in rounds 17 and 18. Round 19 was a strong win with the bench props getting 30 minutes each. I thought that was better and was optimistic KW would continue to use his gorillas correctly.
Palasia got 30 minutes. Netted 40 lousy metres. RK, 8 minutes. **** me dead that is so dumb. Why bother picking a prop at all, why not anyone from the crowd instead?
Nah. 8 minutes is a big enough contribution.
