Settle down mate. You’ve a weird obsession of talking down others.
If you don’t agree with what someone said, stay away. Don’t bitch with your obnoxious comments.

This is being polite.

When did you become the rules maker round here ?
It`s a forum .

Went to the hit out with the Maitland Pumpkin Pickers last night.
Around 4k people turned up, great to see especially for an out of state NRL team and local side..
Payne had the biggest fan club, followed by Reece.
Surprisingly Madge was the one that stuck around on field for a while signing this that and the other.
Boys looked ok, a lot of emphasis on D.
Have to say, I was surprised with the amount of handling errors, very similar to what we have seen on field this year.
Reece doing a bulk of the kicking, especially bombs.
Great initiative from the club. Crazy that you never see anything like this from the Knights. Not even open sessions against Wests (Newcastle) first grade.

I have no doubt if roles were reversed and the Knights had gone up to Brisbane and had an opposed session against a local first grade side, there would have been x1000 articles written about how the Broncos are losing their fan base and don't give a shit about their fans blah, blah. Yet you'll see very little written on what the Broncos did last night to give a lot of rural(ish) fans the opportunity to see the boys run around for free.
Well done to both clubs for making it happen.
Not a great look for the knights, I know a lot of locals aren't too happy the knights don't do this sort of thing.

Does anyone have access to this article?? This is horrible timing. Can’t believe we have players getting infected again.

I wasn't that impressed with the Broncos last week. I had seen enough at 14-28 and while they came back to win 38-28 you can't rely on Reece Walsh kicking pin-point 40/20s to swing momentum.

It was pleasing to read that the Broncos have worked on their defence because that was the biggest issue coming out of the game - some of those efforts, especially early in the second half were unacceptable.

Some players can only receive so many warnings. I still have no idea why Riki left such a huge gap and didn't push up with the rest of the line - it was just embarrassing.

Interesting line-up change with Arthars coming in for Gosiewski. It certainly leaves the Broncos light and you'd have to think Kai-Pearce Paul will receive plenty of ball. The problem with Pearce-Paul is that he's always thinking offload so his carries don't always carry that vigour. So an early blitz might rattle his confidence.

Kick-chase is going to have to be on song as well. Back three contains Votano and Marzhew, so that's two easy targets to apply pressure and really take the wind out of the Knights sails.

Thought the Broncos were guilty of trying too hard against the Dolphins and forcing things. Haas was guilty of a few dud offloads and of course Karapani bombed that early opportunity that brought the Dolphins right back into it. They need to put the offloads away, just work it towards a kick. Then eventually you target the Knights around the edges with Walsh and co.

Back to the Arthars selection, I'm not a fan of it but then you look at the reserves it's not like the Broncos have a ton of options. One name that stood out to me was Luke Gale, the former St George Illawarra Dragons junior. He's been a solid player out for Wynnum and while I'm not advocating for his selection, I find it interesting he'd been picked ahead of Jett Bryce who's on an NRL deal. Once again it's another sign of Madge's philosophy that @Morkel spoke about before the start of the year.

At the very least though I presume that means they've called Luke Gale up to Red Hill to help give the club some depth. I'm happy with that because we've seen in the past when the Broncos have suffered a few injuries they just seem to throw their hands up in the air instead of trying to make the most of it. Broncos go in as favourites and ought to win but they've lost these types of games before and this has all those ingredients. I want to see Reece Walsh keep on keeping on, I want Haas, Carrigan and Riki to lead from the front and I just want to see a better defensive performance.

I can only assume Arthars on the bench is a genuine shift in tactics from Madge. Baker and Semu are obviously available, even if one’s unimpressive and the other’s untested. Even Luke Gale’s on the bus.

Arthars could come on late for Junt, slotting in at centre and switching Staggs or Shibs to second row? Or does Madge tell our 2-5 to work their arses off coming out of our end, then pop Arthars in to relieve whoever gets knackered first?

Personally I was hoping to see Semu have a crack.

Raiders did their job. If Titans win, we're playing for a top 4 spot this game.
Titbros playing for the spoon.... so, unless a couple of Wahs go down - wouldn't give them a lot of hope.

Gale is more versatile; they wanted second row and front row cover.

If Arthars does actually start on the bench, I wonder if we could see Staggs or Shiba do any mins in the backrow to accommodate Arthars into centre/wing. Just not sure where else he plays unless theres a back injury/HIA

Thanks for the feedback, that's good to know.

I knew that Gale had been involved with the pre-season and was selected in one of the trials. I wasn't aware that he remained with the club. I find that reassuring and at the very least Madge is crossing his t's and dotting his i's.

For fifty minutes last week, we were atrocious. How much even of the win was from us playing well compared to them imploding? It was a poor performance no matter how you slice it.

This is the type of game where our players come out thinking they are way better than they are and get ambushed by a team they should beat comfortably. This has dance signs written all over it.

That said, the last thirty last week was really impressive, not sure where it came from and how much The contributed to it but hopefully that team comes out this week and the rest of the season. I’m not counting on it though.
