There won't be a 4th forward on the bench this week.

Nikorima will be returning.

I want Blair putting all sorts of pressure on Cronk and Green. He needs to make their night a living hell. Make them fear Sideshow Bob.

I'm hoping we come out with a similar game plan to last week. Spread it whenever we have them retreating, let the ball do all the work. Kick early whenever possible. Our chase is critical as all their back 3 are all dangerous on kick returns (unlike the Dogs). Channel last week's aggression and choke the life out of them in their 20, don't grant them field possession for attacking kicks.

Storm don't have the size of the Dogs but they thrive in a war if attrition. We need to keep them guessing, stop them attaining any sense of rhythm. To be any chance, we need to be on the offensive for the majority of the match.

If we can do that we're in with a chance. We improved our defence last week but we're a long way off last year's standard. We've been particularly loose early which could easily turn into an 18-0 deficit before we know it.
I don't want to be the buzz kill but I think anything less than a victory leaves us lacking in momentum. I'm not optimistic.

We'll have to deal with the refs again and plenty of Cam Smith's "flat" passes. Not confident at all but I'll always have hope, anything is possible in the NRL.

As long as we're in it for the entire game then I'll deal with the result.

Well, if we want to win the comp we're going to have to most probably beat Melb in Melb some time this year (although I have us finishing fifth and playing the Panthers, Dogs, Raiders in the finals in that order).

Geez that would be a sweet run in the finals. The Cows, Sharks and Storm can knock each other out on the other side of the draw.

The Storm have often said that the Minor Premiership means little to them. Even if they did care, the game vs the Sharks in R26 would be their bigger focus. I suspect the Storm may play a bit of cat & mouse with us. Not take it easy so much, but test us out and see what our responses are to certain situations and then bunker down with those answers if they are to face us in the finals. Pretty much what we did with the Roosters last year.

Then again, it's incredibly unlikely we'll make the top 4, so I'd expect Bennett would be doing the same. It's going to make the game very interesting, potentially both teams going Princess Bride and fighting with our left hands just to test each other out.

That's as close to a dream run as you can get. Here's hoping.

not confident, never confident against melb, they pretty much always soundly beat us.

them by 20.

I haven't seen the last two games but have been following from afar ! I thought the vibe was back three games ago, in the week leading up to the start of our current winning streak and I wrote just that at the time. I still believe we're a prop and quality centre short but nevertheless we are worthy semi-finalists. Tomorrow I fulfill a lifetime goal, two days in Yellowstone Park ! Day 11 and 12 of a 31 day self drive across America. Still looking forward to catching the games I've missed when I get back to Ipswich!

Personally, I like Jellystone National Park

That makes a decent amount of sense. Next week we've got the test of strength against the Roosters, and then we're straight into the finals - matching our wits with the best of them after having spent weeks building up immunity against form slumps. We'll definitely face off against some rodents, traverse a swampy wasteland (if we play in Canberra) and overcome corrupt officials trying to deny us what is rightfully ours.

Hopefully in the end Westley Bennett defeats Paul Humperdinck and gets the trophy while his ally confronts the evil Count Morger - "Hello, my name is Dario Monboyda. You stole my premiership. Prepare to die."

We have to make sure we keep our for & against in tact as the Panthers are breathing down our necks.

yeah but our past 10 games or whatever against them isn't a good picture, our result was more of an anomaly if you looked at it from afar.
