Ok, so that was a great game. But I feel like this loss for Melbourne makes next weeks game against Cronulla more marketable....
Yeah, no double movement...
Ball touched the ground, which means it's grounded. He promoted it, double movement.
Brilliant win. They were battling the Storm and Ashley Klein all night and had an epic win. Klein is pathetic. Opacic was bloody impressive particularly in defence. I thought the Broncos needed to win to give the premiership and they had the win. Hitting form at the right time is perfect.
Potentially heading into the finals with 5 wins in a row. But still some what under the radar due to that form slump we had.
I was raging at the decision, you could see the ball clearly touched the grass. But I held back saying much because I thought perhaps the arm has to touch, and surely the refs know the actual specifics of the rules.SECTION 11
THE TACKLE AND PLAY-THE-BALL
1. A player in possession may be tackled by anopposing player or players. It is illegal to tackle orobstruct a player who is not in possession.
comes into contact with the ground.
(b) when he is held by one or more opposing playersin such a manner that he can make no further
2. A player in possession is tackled:
(a) when he is held by one or more opposing players
and the ball or the hand or arm holding the ball
2(a) garden variety double movement. Video ref was talking about the arm. Fucker didn't know the rules. Other dickheads in bunker should have said "the arm doesn't have to hit the ground...it's a double movement if the ball hits the ground". Either they are gutless or don't know the rules either.
Can't wait for Archer's "the process was right" excuse on Monday....
