Don't get me wrong either, I'm elated the Broncos are in a position where they can give one of their promising youngsters an opportunity. At the start of the season, I thought Mozer was odds on of playing a game. After the U/19s I didn't really see an opportunity, then Brisbane went on their winning run and opened up the opportunity.Unfortunately a lot of us grew up watching the Broncos and watching players like Darren Lockyer come off the bench and looking like a rep star from day 1.
That's not reality but that's how many of fans were introduced to the club.
Of course in the real world, it takes times. You learn about yourself, you find out what works and what doesn't. That's all part of the development of a player, a coach, whatever it is. Some people get it quickly, others it takes a while, everyone is different.
However there's an important distinction to be made and just because you can blood a Jordan Rankin at 16 years of age doesn't mean you've done well by him or the club. If you're blooding more than five players in a season, then something unfortunate had to have happened.
Sorry to drag the thread off topic again, but it's a topic that's been bubbling away for years now. Blooding talent, the right instances to do a rebuild, the wrong instances etc.
