Annesley talked about the Staggs incident with Rapana.

It was more to talk about why there wasn't any further action taken on the field such as a sin bin. He showed all of the angles of the incident.

I didn't see a single angle that conclusively showed that his forearm made contact with the jaw of Rapana. In fact each angle suggested it was the chest that Staggs made contact with. So what vision did the MRC see that showed differently?

After seeing all of the angles, not a single one justified a Grade 2 charge.

a couple more fines to contribute to the Xmas party at NRL HQ?

Enough was enough apparently .
3 weeks for playing billy goat and 4 for nearly taking off Api`s head and then disputing the grading .

Did you even watch the tackle?
yes, he tackled low, there was no head rock, no spray of sweat, no obvious impact to the head, no drop to the ground. He stayed down because he tore his bicep and was in a shit load of pain. Happened with 23:52 to go on the clock on Kayo, go have a watch.

What's interesting, is he hurt his left bicep and tackled with his right arm. He was already stuffed and he knew it. This was gamesmanship and rorting of the HIA rule, nothing more.

He got smashed directly in the head. Guler squashes his head and neck. Are you blind? He got rocked. He couldn't get up. He didn't grab at his arm at all when the collision happened.

You should have posted the whole thing @Big Del - I was defending them after the U19 game where it was all doom.

The fact is that the people saying he was ready had no clue and don't watch Cup. Same with Te Kura.

I am certainly not concerned about last night from a long term perspective. I don't think it will harm them but It just puts it back in perspective about where they are headed.

I said 2024 for Mozer in 2021 and 2025 for Te Kura and I don't think that changes too much. Even then that won't be having an impact in NRL just playing.

Leota is six months out of school and played one Cup game which was by accident due to injury. He will be playing Cup next year but played Meninga this year again and now is playing Colts.

It's a slow process.

There's a difference between a player being blooded and player actually being ready.

You would have thought some on here would have learned that in 2020.

Remember Samuel L Jackson GIF by Apple TV+

Back on topic - did Tapane get charged for the shoulder tackle on Walsh on the 79th minute?
No, instead he got praised by every single media commentator for a completely unnecessary shoulder tackle on a stopped, injured player.

Imagine if it was Flegler doin that to Kris, he would be fucking crucified.

Unfortunately a lot of us grew up watching the Broncos and watching players like Darren Lockyer come off the bench and looking like a rep star from day 1.

That's not reality but that's how many of fans were introduced to the club.

Of course in the real world, it takes times. You learn about yourself, you find out what works and what doesn't. That's all part of the development of a player, a coach, whatever it is. Some people get it quickly, others it takes a while, everyone is different.
