Round 26 - Broncos vs Sea Eagles - Post Match Discussion

****wit, Is that correct? Or should it have a capital F? ;)

You'll get a form letter about how the NRL is very careful about its association with betting agencies...

Last time I got something better than that, but not much.

I expect my question to be addressed, but more like a flimsy reason/excuse as to why it is justified

Teo REALLY needs to work on getting his confidence back in defence. he was almost steve michaels like out there yesterday.

losing hoffman is a huge blow, he was playing excellently. one thing i thought id never say - both McCullough and Wallace have really been impressing me the last few weeks. its like they suddenly realised that Lockyer is leaving, and that the team is going to depend on them. theyve both finally found some attacking skills!

i saw very little wrong with thaidays tackle. it was a beauty, didnt even come close to landing on his head.
+1 to all of that really. McCullough has been seriously awesome, he has went from the worst no.9 in the comp to close to the best, he has been so awesome lately. If he keeps form we're a huge chance of winning the comp. Wallace is really picking it up as well, his attack is a lot more deadly now and his attacking kicking game is becoming really dangerous.

Hoffman is a HUGE blow but I thought Beale was outstanding in his absence and if he keeps form then we won't lose too much.

Thaiday should not get more than a week and hopefully either Manly or Melbourne lose and we win so we get a week off.

Teo has only been back for a few weeks and hasn't played all year really. I think he is a bit scratchy at the moment, hopefully another 1-2 weeks and he can be back into the grind again. Teo is a big part of this team.

I think he's better off the bench TBH.

he is, but he was a pedestrian out there on the weekend. pretty much every single one of manlys breaks came down his side, and the majority of the time they seemed to be because of his poor defensive efforts (havent watched the game on tv yet, so i *might* be wrong). he needs a few weeks in the lower grades IMO, or at least bring him off the bench instead of being in the starting line. an on-song melbourne/manly/tigers/dragons would put 30 on us if he defends like that again.

Well since he's replacing Thaiday he'll still be on that side, but 4 in instead of 2 in. Te'o - Lockyer - Hodges - Yow Yeh.

I remember Te'o being the first player to actually go up and tackle the player instead of waiting on his haunches and absorbing the attack and gifting quick play the balls.

He did get found out laterally early in the 2nd half when Manly went wide to the left quick and early. But we all know he's not a centre.

That Teo shoulder would look good being worn by the big Warriors pack.

Aye but that's a non-issue with me heading into the Warriors game where he'll be in his preferred position.

Which is what I was getting at by saying "we all know he's not a centre". I agree with you.

teo will be right when he gets the 'you've got to be sammy this week' talk.

I'm under the impression Hook isn't that kind of coach, It will be more a "you don't need to be Sammy out there, just play your natural game."

I reckon Glenn is the better centre ATM and he should go there and Te'o can go to the bench with Gillett starting.

Any news on Hodges? Could he have played against Manly but didn't?

That's what they're saying. if it'd been a must win, he would've played.

Well that's good to know, with Hoffman out we seriously need Hodges for the finals.

1. Beale
2. Gagai/Copley
3. Reed
4. Hodges
5. Yow Yeh

OR

2. Reed
3. Glenn

Hodges to fullback worked wonders for us in 2006......
