Round 26 Discussion

Wow a 100m intercept try to Manly.

Sea Eagles reclaim the lead with just over 10 to go.

Up up Cronulla. Don't let Manly finish on a high.

I don't how Cronulla didn't get a penalty for a clear strip.

God damn this is exciting stuff.

Less than 3 minutes to go and Manly are just managing to hold on.

That pretty much sets the ladder now. If Bulldogs win, they go 5th and Sharks drop to 6th, if they lose, everything stays the same.

Melbourne Vs Roosters it is.

Cronulla really screwed the pooch. They had all the ball yet constantly came up with a bunch of unforced errors.

That's twice they've effectively lost a game due to a long range intercept try.

In the end, the complexion of the Top 4 seems right. At their best, Melbourne have been a better side than Cronulla and should pose a bigger threat than the Sharks. In fact, I'm really looking forward to Bellamy's approach to that game and whether he can throw a real spanner into the finals series by forcing Sydney onto the other side of the competition and grab a home prelim final. I have difficulty envisioning that but it would certainly make for an interesting twist.

You'd have to think Canterbury will win setting up...

Sydney Roosters vs Melbourne Storm

Brisbane Broncos vs North Queensland Cowboys
Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs vs St George Illawarra Dragons

Cronulla Sharks vs South Sydney Rabbitohs
