The NRL will trial the new "Shot Clock" in this Sunday's game against the Raiders and the Eels. I'm ok with a line drop out being 30 seconds but 35 seconds to pack a scrum might be asking a bit much, anyway it'll be interesting to see how it all comes together next season.

Also, what's the penalty for exceeding the shot clock? Is it a penalty, a league equivalent of a short arm penalty, something else?

His defence might be a bit suspect at times, but he's pretty much the best centre in attack in the NRL. Whoever matches up against him will have a brutal night ahead of them.
