What a fantastic player Jake Trbojevic is. He had no right to score that try and while there were plenty of question marks, his effort was enough to persuade Cecchin.

16-0 and Penrith are looking like shot ducks.

Wallace with the cheap turn-over from dummy half...

See this is the type of play he's been doing all season and nobody picks him up on it. While he's a better hooker than halfback, the argument that he should have played for NSW is baffling.

Out of the options they were considering, he was arguably playing better than all of them. None of the others were exactly setting the world on fire.

He brought experience in the Origin arena and also brought a kicking game that none of the others could.

Very energetic first half from Manly, they've blown Penrith off the park and have controlled the ball nicely. Had DCE not been called back for a controversial forward pass call who knows how ugly the scoreline would have been? The Sea Eagles defence has been very impressive with only 7 misses while maintaining a strong line-speed.

Penrith need to get themselves back in this with their defence and try to exploit Kelly and Uate out-wide.

Wallace has struggled all season from dummy half. He was the default pick, but if they were basing it on form then McInnes and Koroisau had him covered. Even though Peats wasn't in great form, when he returned he was clearly a better option.

I just don't know how anyone can think Wallace is a quality hooker when he butchers so many opportunities and overplays his hand.

He was great at hooker last year tbf. This year age looks like its catching up with him.

He was definitely playing better last year but I'd hesitate to call it great.

At the rate Penrith are going, they could miss out on the 8.

Your NSW hooker everyone.

If Manly score 10 more points, the Cowboys will be safe.

What a lazy chase there from Waqa Blake.

Trbojevic did well to get that ball back into the field of play, but he should never have had that room.

Now Manly with a penalty, this could very well be Penrith's season here.

That try should save Penrith's season.

Good heads up play, they definitely have the talent but they were completely out-enthused.

I would be livid with that try.

That's the skill of Penrith on show and it took them until the final last few minutes to show it. Even then, Penrith had to survive a lazy effort from the kick-off.

Regardless that was a great performance from Manly. For a side that many tipped to win the spoon, they've done extremely well this season and the future is looking bright for them. Consistensy has been their biggest issue and will be their biggest issue this finals series, but if they can hit the ground running in 2018 they'll easily be a Top 4 side.

Deadset love the bloke but surely Cameron smith is due for a bit of an injury? And for that matter melbourne are surely due for a big suspension or some kind of setback leading into the finals.

One piece of the puzzle in place. Just need the Dragqueens to win now.
