I know the Minor Premiership isn’t as prestigious as it should be but if we manage to win it on Thursday, we should at least celebrate it and acknowledge how far we’ve come and what we’ve achieved.

Considering we only played the Tigers, Dragons and Bulldogs once who all will finish bottom 3 and also considering we won the spoon 3 years ago, it’s some effort. Not to mention Penrith for most of the season looked like they would never relinquish it.

100%. Even without it, top 2 with the hardest draw in the comp is a brilliant effort.

Coaching staff and players deserve plenty of credit.

Yeah I remember the game, Reyno went off after scoring a try.
Awful sin bins on the night. Without those happening it’s difficult to see how they beat us. Kev wasn’t impressed in his post match interview. One of the few times I’ve seen him genuinely pissed off this season.
And for good reason, we got absolutely reamed by the officiating. I often blow up at the refs with my one eye open during the game, but that was legitimately one of the worst performances I've seen. We were the better team but just weren't allowed to compete. If it's a fair game, I think we'll smack them. Hughes is more important to them than Munster at the moment, he's been pretty ordinary for most of this year IMO.

Beyond stoking the fires in here, I only legitimately blow up about the refs on occasion. This game was one of them.

A bit random - but if you or anyone you know wants to go on Thursday night but can't get tickets (ticketek is down to single seats), the Broncos are running a 1 game membership for seating in level 6. These memberships are actually cheaper than sideline category was on ticketek, so it's a good deal. If you don't have a membership it's a good way to get access to our finals games, which I'm sure we expect to sell out very quickly. Seats available at the link below.

  • Jahrome Hughes (knee, Finals Week 1)
  • Harry Grant (shoulder, TBC)
NRL update. So they might be missing Grant as well, all the more reason for us to rest a bunch of players.

we already are: Reynolds, Patty and Staggs so far.

I do suspect that if Walsh, Mam and Haas have niggling injuries heading into the Storm match then they'll also be rested.

Every time I see Walshy puke.....

Puke

Mam seems to have completed the whole season with one niggle or another and he still smashes into tackles. awesome job, Haas I think they'll give a couple of days, see how his dislocated finger holds up....Walshy will be a target for sure. Cockly little bastard lol

An extra week of rest won't make a difference given we've just come off a bye. Any niggling injuries are still going to be there the following week.

Play whoever wants to play. If we can beat Storm and win the minor premiership in the process, that's some mental demons that will be gone..

Like Fitzy said you’ve got Wynnum vs Souths Logan on Saturday in a semi final

Don’t know how much power they have to refuse to release players for a potentially meaningless NRL game, but probably not much

How many of these injuries should be rested?

They have zero power- Kevvie kept Sailor back a week ago just for training and he couldn't play for Souths in Rocky.

What's to bet that both sides name mostly full strength (of available uninjured players) with the extended bench leaving the possibility open of resting a bunch of players at the last minute.

Watch us name Walsh and have also have Sailor on the extended bench.
