PRE-GAME [Round 27, 2023] Broncos vs Storm

Over the last few years there's typically been some cat and mouse when top teams come up against each other.

Suddenly in a Panthers vs storm match... one side will have a bunch of 1 week injuries that have to be rested... Hughes, etc. that end up sitting out.

It's like one side will decide to sacrifice the game to avoid showing their hand until the big finals games are happening.

There could be a sense of that this week.

Storm could still move up to 3rd... but realistically they're not moving all that much so they might trot out a weak team for this game and start planning for Broncos week 1... which is a great match up for them.

This final round is a real Sophie's choice when it comes to filling up those final two spots. Could be any two of Raiders, Souths, Cowboys and Roosters - I'm so conflicted on who I want to miss out. Other than the Cows.

Without knowing the finer details of the injuries it is hard to say from the canberra game we really only know that payne dislocated his finger the others are a bit of a question mark.

He made the final after years of training, broken limbs and other problems. If you have a chance to see him speak at a conference, have a listen - it’ll change your outlook on why his gold was actually trail blazing

If Penrith benches all their stars and the Rabbits or Raiders lose, that'd basically mean that the Cowboys Bradburyed their way to the finals. Almost worth it to see them come eighth and get eviscerated by the Knights first up.

But I'd rather they missed out altogether.
