PRE-GAME Round 3 - Broncos vs Bulldogs

Dobbo Report

Dearden to come into the starting team. His tip is that Croft is the one who will drop out but that sounded like speculation based on Dearden/Croft failing in the trials.

Matt Lodge to return.
Unbelievable.
I am honestly starting to think the next time we see a competitive Broncos side, it will not have a single player we see in the current team aside from "maybe" Dearden if he isn't poached.

Great, let’s bring Lodge back the second he can stand upright again so he can get injured again in the first 20mins and rinse and repeat until he is ruled out for the season.

Give the guy an extra week!!

And then find out he's actually got a missing leg and his career will be done.

He's not getting paid 700K a season to sit on his ass. He has done enough of that. If the team doctor gives his/her approval then that's good enough for me. The more he plays, the quicker he becomes fit enough to compete in this faster version of the game.

They are probably playing him with the hope he needs to medically retire to save them from the fucking awful decision to sign him for $700k a year for four fucking years with player options. Fucking idiots.

Isaako had the ball dislodged in a pretty darn good tackle and that was 35 metres away, directly in front of me so I remember it well. I am wondering what else people on here thought he'd done wrong. It's a serious question and if you can think of something can you include a time so I can look at it. My impression was aside from the odd handling error he ran hard and created a few half chances.
He runs hard, until he is about 1m from the defensive line and then stops or does his huge jump step which fools absolutely no-one.

I can’t think of once single instance where he wouldn’t have been better off simply running it back into the defensive line Karmichael style, but he doesn’t seem to have it in him...

Or there is a difference excuse...

Last week he got caught in goal because he tried to step defenders instead of just taking the contact & getting the ball to the line.

Is it the same doctor that missed his broken leg last season?

Chris Garry also reporting Dearden will come in.
Said Milford and Croft copped massive sprays from Kevvie today in the review.
Why can we not try a Dearden Croft combo.
Punt Milford. The bloke has never been dropped, it’s a disgrace.

Mmmm, yet he was third highest in the team for post contact metres. Wonder how that happened.

I guess it is a good team to try Dearden out on. Well I sure hope it is Milford that is dropped, that would put a rocket up his butt that he needs and would put the whole team on notice that you keep screwing up, you are all droppable.

And of course, always love a team list, so this week I guess it will be:

1. Isaako
2. Mead
3. Farnworth
4. Niu
5. Coates
6. Dearden
7. Croft
8. Pangai Jr
9. Turpin
10. Lodge
11. Glenn (c)
12. Riki
13. Carrigan

14. Asiata
15. Flegler
16. Bullemor
17. Teo

18. Kennedy
19. Oates
20. Paix
21. Copley

1. Isaako
2. Mead
3. Farnworth
4. Niu
5. Coates
6. Milford
7. Dearden
8. Pangai Jr

12. Riki
13. Carrigan

14. Asiata
15. Flegler
16. Bullemor
17. Teo

Literally zero reason why this side shouldn't be belting the Dogs by 13+, never mind being precarious about the fucking win.

I’m glad Kev sprayed them, absolutely useless. Praying for Milford to show up is probably still a better tactic than sticking with Croft but Croft should feel pretty hard done by because he was better than Milford, he just has a far far lower ceiling.

Well 1910 mentioned they had a game plan to send plays down Taylor's and Fifita's side but didn't do it once., if your halves can't put that in place then you're fucked from the start.

The fact the Kev made Milford and Croft swap sides was purely because milfords horrendous defence. That to me automatically says Croft should be ahead of Milford.
I already feel for Dearden, he will be coming in under a fair bit of pressure, none of it his own doing.

Yep definitely and also apparently Oates is in the team as well

I'm firmly on the drop Milford train. Shame, bcos he absolutely has the talent to be the best player in our squad but it's been too long now.
I actually believe 2 or 3 weeks in QLD cup would be the making of Milford. He would destroy the teams in there with just a tiny bit of effort, the problem is he doesn't put in the effort bcos he's low in confidence bcos you need maximum effort in the NRL level
