POST GAME Round 3 - Broncos vs Eels

the best halves to ever play the game would struggle with 39% possession and being camped in your own half most of the game
I saw you say this earlier. We weren’t exactly starved of the ball like the commentators tried to make everyone believe. We had plenty of the ball, just kept dropping it. I don’t remember Milf doing anything tonight. I don’t think anyone really did anything to stand out but even croft did something with 39% of the ball

Was this the one that looked like it was actually hit by the Eels player? Between that and the bullshit knock on call we weren’t helped at all tonight

That’s the thing with Oates, any bs call and his head drops. He’s cooked

We were cooked in the first 15. The game just had that feeling from the start with the constant 6 agains against us... Very hard to stem that sort of momentum, and they just rolled over top of us. We just weren’t up for this at all. I’m not one to blame anything on the ref but 1 penalty in 80 minutes... **** off.

Lol I not even mad anymore they were just to good for us it will take a few weeks get used to new rules and get troops back on deck but I felt this was coming we should of had the titans but got the eels tomorrow a new day

I have to say, I’m loving the “he made a lot of tackles therefore it’s ok that he didn’t do much in attack” comments. Our previous hooker always made a lot of tackles but I have a feeling that excuse wouldn’t slide if it was used with him

I'm shattered... I don't care what anyone says we got royally fucked over by the refs. How are any of our players meant to do anything when they spend the night tackling and constantly on the back foot? I'm actually proud of our players considering Sutton was clearly playing for the Eels.

Sorry dude but as much as you might disagree with a few calls (as I did as well). We were our own worst enemy tonight, dropped balls turned possession over to them. The more possession they have the more fatigued we are. The more fatigued we are the more likely we are to give away penalties. I hate that ref but he did an OK job. You can’t blame a 28 point defeat on the refs.

No excuses, our handling was woeful and we got what we deserved on the back of that...........but realistically it is our first week back and lots of things just didn't go our way tonight.

Referring was an embarrassment .......I guess as expected, its just so.............. random.

Its also scary to think how badly the 6 again call could be used to manipulate the outcomes of games through possession. The play moves on so quickly so none of those 6 again calls will ever get scrutinised.

There will be plenty more lopsided scoreboards, they've just made it even harder to turn the momentum.

You know Haas is the best forward in the competition when he has 17 runs for 195 metres with 49 tackles, 3 offloads and no mistakes and people call it a quiet one, lol.

The only thing he is missing is the mongrel. I like to see a few runs where he get the ball at full speed and thinks FU to the defence

Of all our incomplete sets, i'd love to know how many of them we coughed the ball up on tackle 1,2 and 3. Not good enough

People shitting on Milford are literally clueless, he should have had a try and a try assist to his name and we were down the other end of the field for a grand total of like 90 seconds.

Wally Lewis in his prime on the Xerri juice wouldn't have been able to get involved in this game. So many errors, penalties, 6-to-go's, poor refereeing decisions, zero luck and we were putting ZERO pressure on Moses / Brown / Gutherson all game, just letting them run 10-15 metres before they kick..

Not really, he bombed a gift try created for him and decided that a never on grubber was a better option then running it with a gap present, his involvement tonight in attack was next to non existent, he offered nothing tonight, much same signs last season and that was with a strong forward pack giving him plenty to work with. I'm over the free pass Milford gets, Hunt copped it, Kodi copped it, but somehow Milford is above all that.

Wally Lewis in his prime would have been able to get involved in this game because he always went looking for the ball or called when he needed, he always looked to create opportunities. his great kicking game alone would have presented 40/20 opportunities. I've seen Wally Lewis guide a Queensland side decimated by injuries during a match to the point they didn't even have a bench guide them home. I don't expect Milford to be Wally Lewis as he will never be an immortal, but he definitely could have got himself more involved in the match, Croft certainly did what he could.

Boyds missed try really hurt us. You go in at 12 all in that and Parra start doubting. That unfortunately didn't happen and we gave them all the ball again.
