POST GAME Round 3 - Storm vs Broncos

Am I the only one who's not even that angry? At least we didn't lose to a Thurston drop goal in golden point, I think those last 3 losses to the Cowboys have almost numbed me..

Great defensive effort, if we could hold the football and stop giving away retarded penalties we'd have won that game easy, despite the poor refereeing.

not much to write home about once we had the ball .

far far far far far to many errors in our game to win agasnst Melbourne with the refs in there pocket(although we came damn close).

our attack has looked disjointed so far this season. if we can work out some structure in attack we will be ok. we have the defence to be there-abouts come seasons end.

in the mean time we just need to not get rooted by the ref every fuckin game

Wayne should have dragged Milford and played Benji at 6. For all of Hunt's flaws, he still has less flaws than Milford, and I'm this close to thinking he'd make a better 5/8 than Milf.

Gutsy, but nothing's changed. Can't kick, Milford can't hold the ball, the team can't ice a game.

Probably can't win a comp with this roster.

We kind of engineered our own demise. We were superb in defence, made way to many simple errors. I know Jimmy scored, but overall him and Moga didnt really do a great deal in attack and i thought both were nothing more than ok in defence.

Milf was a passenger, Hunt tried hard, scored a good try but his kicking was average as usual. I know its early in the season, but we seem to be lacking a bit of spark in attack.

I'm glad I wasn't able to watch the whole game by the sounds of things. Watching the last 15mins, if the praise the commentators were giving to the Broncos regarding their defence is to be believed, they can hold their heads high.

Another heart-breaking loss, chalk it up as another 'so close, yet so far' result for this team.

In all fairness, they should have lost by a lot more. Melbourne had all the field position, they absolutely dominated the ruck and it was really only some desperate defence on the try line and some early season lapses from Melbourne that did them in.

In the end, the Broncos pack wasn't good enough (particularly McGuire and Sims), the fringe of Milford and Moga were easy targets and the Storm just have too many dangerous players who can make things happen out of nothing.

It's heart-breaking, but the pleasing thing for the Broncos is that they never stopped turning up and in the end, the difference was an utter fluke try.
