POST GAME Round 3 - Storm vs Broncos

Courageous performance. Very proud of the lads.
Yep hung on for so long. Absolute joke what the storm can get away with.

Moga and oates played really well on our left edge. Defence in general was terrific.

Refereeing aside, Where it went wrong for us tonight was the handling errors. Way too many errors from us. This is something we are going to need to fix quick smart if we want to start winning games this season.

We also blew a few opportunities when we got into the red zone. And the opportunities we did have we seemed to blow early in the tackle count.

Gerard Sutton gets the points this round.

We gotta ban this guy from Broncos games. He clearly has something against the club. I can't remember a single time where he wasn't favouring the other team more.

Hunt's kicking was superb. He probably only kicked half the usual amount due to the ducking errors.

You are easily pleased if you think that was superb. He didnt even make touch with a simple penalty and kicked straight at a melbourne player first half. Our lack of decent kicker since Locky retired seems to have lowered what we think is acceptable.

Remember when Brisbane used to win all of these 1-2 point games, usually courtesy of a Locky field goal or last minute play?

Yeah.

Good times.

We were never winning tonight dude. Sutton just wasn't having it. 2 penalties leading up to that last fluke try. I am fucking ropeable that Melbourne's wrestlemania is rewarded with a 3 and 0 start. It really makes you wonder about what the NRL's motivations are.

Are you insane???? They were probably two of our best players mate!!!
Really.

Try actually watching. Not hero worshipping.

Misses heaps of tackles.

When he makes one he never gets to marker.

And when he gets to marker he doesn't work from there.

Have a look at his spectating effort for Melbs first try.

When Ado Carr nearly scored, who was the bloke who didn't come up with the Blair and who caused the overlap...Gillet.

The whole game plans was bad. You can't play with storm like that. Milford need to find his best footy or play in Queensland cup. He is get worse day by day.

Looking forward to another nail biting loss next week against Canberra at home. Over these last minute losses.

Yep - only question what storyline will it be? Who is Brisbane playing heel to in the Raiders team?

Guess we'll find out on Monday Night Raw...sorry, I mean Round 4 of the NRL.

If you excuse the penalty kick, everything else was right up there. Particularly when. He was kicking from our own 40.

Starting props who did their job tonight:

J.Bromwich - 15 runs, 125 metres
McLean - 11 runs, 132 metres

Starting props who didn't do their job tonight:

Sims - 8 runs, 68 metres
Blair - 8 runs, 58 metres

I feel a bit bad criticising them as they were excellent in defence, but you cant argue with stats like that. We still lack that consistent metre eating prop.

Only the first three rounds and we're only just losing to the two best teams in comp despite horrifically one sided refereeing and shit play. We've also come out unscathed whilst the storm and cows suffered big injuries.

Didn't anyone see the 'dance with them' shit appears to have returned to our game?

Ps its hard to make metres when the refs refuse to police the ruck

Gillett made 49 tackles and only missed one, he was literally our best player tonight, get a grip.

He was the last line of defence in desperate tackles on Bromwich and some other bloke I can't remember... if it wasn't for him we would have been beaten comprehensively.

It may be hero worship because the bloke is a fucking hero.

Missed 3, Made 44

Cant agree there mate. I thought the other parts of his game were fine, but i dont rate his kicking at all. He has very little variation. HE wasnt getting a lot of help from Milf though tbf.
