PRE-GAME Round 3 - Tigers vs Broncos

1. Milf
2. Oates (till Kahu back)
3. Opa
4. Roberts
5. Isaako
6. Boyd (prefer he get fit however apparently he is 100%. Won’t upset combos as Milf can play 2nd five eight just more support)
7. KNik
8. Lodge
9. Macca
10. Moose
11. Sims
12. Gillo
13. TPJ
14. Murphy
15. Glenn
16. Offa
17. Sua

Main worry is like another prop on bench but with 3 big boys rotating well can rotate well and use a smaller lock later on. Bird to lock from Bench till match fit when he comes back I a week or two anyway and Glenn drops out.

Last night will mean nothing if we don't put another good, high intensity performance in for this game. Can handle if we aren't perfect but we need to keep the attitude going.

It's all about good attitude, high intensity, quick tempo for the Broncs moving forward for the rest of the season. We can't afford to drop this one.

Not going to happen, sorry.
Bennett made less changes after the Dragons spanked us, he’s certainly not going to make this many after we have a very promising win.
4. Opacic
17. Su’a
Otherwise, the team will be the same as last night (barring injury during the week).

Big game this one. Need to keep on improving on last nights performance. The next premiership contender we play is Melbourne in round 7.

We cant affoard to drop the intensity against these lesser sides but I have a feeling Wayne will be looking to round 7 when we play the storm as a real test of our premiership credentials. They have spanked us lately and I hope the boys remember that when we come out and play them. I want the boys to build towards something special round 7!

Rounds 6-15 is a really tough stretch, it will define the season. We will know where they are heading after this unbelievably difficult run.

Yeah I know but can dream...

Sims to start for Glenn would be a start.

As for TPJ to lock. Agree still will play middle but a title can change the way u think. See how 13 and the assumed role on McGuire’s back changed his play. Taking 4th tackle hit ups, roaming a bit more and so forth.

Lock is a specialist role like any other on the field. Yes it can be played a number of ways. Ball playing extra 5/8, 3rd prop, impact player, offloading runner, defensive glue and combinations thereof. But best locks have an extra dimension of ball playing and impact. We could use an extra rake and ball playing quicker forward. Think we need go forward early so 3 big guys (+sims on second row) can wear down the opposition but later on get Bird in there when he returns to be another point of attack.

1. Darius Boyd
2. Corey Oates
3. James Roberts
4. Tom Opacic
5. Jamayne Isaako
6. Anthony Milford
7. Kodi Nikorima

12. Matt Gillett
13. Josh McGuire

14. Sam Thaiday
15. Joe Ofahengaue
16. Korbin Sims
17. Sam Tagataese

That's the side I want to see. No changes apart from bringing in Tagataese.

Considering it's all big men on the bench, I wouldn't mind seeing more of Su'A rather than Tagataese.

Back cover? Half/hooker cover? Sua maybe can cover centre. Glenn is slowing up to much for centre.

This, 100%. We need some flexibility on the bench, and Taga won't bring anything that the rest of the bench doesn't already have.

The big question will be which Broncos team shows up at Leichardt.
We'll need to maintain the siege mentality, which was "pretty easy" to do that at home against the Cowboys, especially after round #1's debacle and the criticism that followed, but will be a much harder proposition away from home after tacking the Cows down a peg of 5.

The inexperience of our front row almost cost us last night. A bit of ill discipline crept in.

Tags can teach them a thing or two.

Got 3 relatively easy games with Titans, Tigers, Warriors. It will be easy to flush all that good work with the Cowboys down the drain by dropping any of those games.
